Hi all
I have been in contact with representatives from Jersey and have been informed they will not have the numbers to fulfil a competitive international match over the world champs weekend in November.
After nearly 40 years of this fixture being played it appears that this is the end of any international between England and Jersey.
The door will always be open should there be any change in the future but for now, I would like to congratulate all the players that have been selected to play in this fixture over the years and thank Jersey for playing their part in what has been many many competitive evenings of bar billiards.
England will play Guernsey away in their next match in May 2020.
Thanks
Curt

Thanks Curt What a shame Curt, lots of concern about regarding the future of the World Championships itself, not helped by lack of news regarding who has entered and whether monies have been received despite regular requests on here. Hopefully the future is still bright

What a pity if a combined Channel Islands team couldn't be mustered together to take on England.
Such a side would preserve the integrity of the longest-standing international, and wouldn't impinge on Guernsey-England next May.
