Thanks to the organisers of the AEBBA comps yesterday. A massive thanks to Pauline for putting up with me for another year, but it paid off this time winning the final against the pairing of Mark and Jenny. Pauline played great all day getting good scores on the board in every game and I was then able to mop up. Great team effort . Curt Ps sorry Pauline but I hope you will agree to be my partner for another year and try and defend it ??

Thank you to Lorin & Dave for their hard work on the admin desk on Sunday and to everyone that helped with the tables etc. A very, very busy & tiring day but it was a good day of bar billiards (for me anyway).xx
Thank you Curt for your lovely comments it was a pleasure to partner you again this year and pleased I was able to actually put scores on the board to help us along to our 1st Mixed Pairs title.
Yes I would love to partner you to defend our title next year, thank you for asking me. xx
Congratulations to Roz on winning the Special Ladies title, your 1st which is always a special one to win. It was a table where you kept your scores & I was losing mine. Well done. xx

What is it now 7 or 8 years lol Well I got 12.5k in a league match back in 1975, but it took me until last season to break 13k. 43 years !
Us (implied) tortoises get there in the end. Always leave yourself some scope for improvement.

Many thanks to Lorin and Dave for running the day and to Nigel for doing the formats and draw.
It was a very hectic day, but a very enjoyable one - with a bit of drama thrown in with the fire alarm and evacuation!
Thanks to Pauline for your kind words above and on the day. Congratulations to you and Curt on winning the pairs. It was indeed a huge thrill to get a first individual National title. It certainly was a very scrappy final, with neither of us able to get going, but I was fortunate to keep my meagre scores while you lost some of yours.
Thanks also to Joe for partnering me in the pairs. We didn't do very well, but your support was a real help.
