2. Pagani Zonda C12S 3. Cr@p picture, but looks like a Mercedes CLK 4. DAF, either a 44 or a Daffodil 5. Is that a Mazda RX8 or a Honda S2000 6. Phaeton 7. Morgan +2 8. Could be a Mk2 Jaguar, but I think its actually a Daimler 9. Looks like a Porsche Cayenne prototype, so it could be a Panamera 10. Ford 100E prefect - your 1st 4 wheeled vehicle 11. Chevrolet Corvette 12. Bugatti Veyron 13. Austin A50 (Somerset or Devon) 15. Chrysler Crossfire 16. Aston Martin Lagonda 18. Saab 93 20. TVR

Great effort, Q. 2,3,4,5,7,8,10,12,13,15,16 & 18 all correct. 5 being the Honda Sk2 and 8 a Jag although the photo doesn't exactly make it clear. 10 and 13 both hold claim to being my first car. 13 the Somerset my dad bought for me before I was old enough to drive. It was stuck on the garden path for six months without me showing any interest as I wanted a scooter instead. When I bought a scooter against his wishes he got rid of the car. Number 10 the white Anglia 100E was actually the first four-wheeled car I drove.
So 12 points to you plus the bonus plus half for number 20 the TVR as I need the model.

It seems an apology from me is in order over Q's answer to number 9. The pictured vehicle is known as a Rinspeed Chopster: it is a 3-door Swiss design based on the platform of the Porsche Cayenne. As Q correctly identified it as a Cayenne derivative I can allow the point.

Spot on, Mick. It had a reverse gear, and just one forward gear, driven on lacky bands as you say. Years later the missus had a Honda Camino Moped, which had one forward gear, based on the same principle.

This is a puzzle, it looks like a car I saw at Goodwood last year, based on an Astom Martin, DB7 i think, re-bodied by some coachbuilding company, but I didnt take notes at the time. 19. Alfa Romeo - Disco volante maybe, from around 1961. and the TVR is a Sagaris

Excellent answers, Q. RX/7 correct, Roomster correct, half-point for the Sagaris, and I'll give you the Alfa. It's actually a Guiletta and my mate (37 years ago) bought one when he was left some money by his auntie. He paid a thousand for it. He didn't use it much and whilst away at college he asked his mum to sell it for him. She had no idea of its worth and let it go to the first offer she had -which was just thirty pounds. Mums, eh ? So 3.5 extra points to you.
To help you along with some of the others: Number 1, think 8 litre V10 and 0-60 in 4secs. Number 6 has a feline grace. And Number 17 - smart, innit ? And to think that I test-drove one only a few months ago. 8-) 8-)

well... a Viper is the only 8 litre V10 that springs to mind and that doesnt look like the back end of a Viper.
6. That aint no Jaguar
as for 17. a bit like a Nissan 350z but the grill is wrong????

Guys, just having a quick look in, back on-line at around 6pm.
Petem has managed to get number 6 Panther. Bernie has done enough with number 17 to earn a half-point for Nissan. But for the rest of it, think what Lexus is to Toyota. ;)

Spot on Bernie. Here's a transcript of my report on the test drive which I posted on the RXOC website:
Okay folks, just got back from the TW Whites test drive weekend (at Milford), and this is how it went.
After much deliberation (helped immensely by the good advice offered on this thread) I decided against raw power (so no Integra or Mustang or PZ) and in favour of trying out something that could be seen as a potential rival to the RX/8 with all its qualities. A potential replacement for my car should I ever get tired of it (very unlikely in the foreseeable future).
The candidates were the Nissan 350Z and the Nissan Skyline, which I tried out in that order. After an initial test run with the Salesman driving and showing me the circuitous course (of I would say around six miles) i was handed the keys and let loose on the beasts. Here's the verdict :
A. Nissan 350Z For - Snarling engine, quick turn of speed, very surefooted. Against - Dashboard was spartan, seemed to be constructed of boxes put together by someone on Blue Peter and painted black, with a cluster of motorcycle dials. Kept turning windscreen wipers on instead of indicators as the stalks are on opposite way round to Mazda. Only a 2-seater as we all know. An over-fussy six-speed gearbox meant I was changing gear all the time.
B. Nissan Skyline I would like to be able to say some positive things about this one - and I can ! The model I was presented with was called the Infiniti 35G. Although it had exactly the same 3.5 litre power unit under the bonnet as the 350Z it seemed to exude a significant air of authority - as if to say I am to Nissan what Lexus is to Toyota. For - Smooth delivery from engine, power in spades, very surefooted, classy traditional dashboard, 4 seats (comfortable ones, I tried sitting in the back). Also, exterior styling very classy - a big wavy-lined grille that makes it look like a big old american limo, a new anonymous-looking emblem that will prompt observers to say "what the hell is that" Against - Wiper stalk on "wrong" side, I prefer side windows to be framed, six-speed gearbox over-fussy, and - disappointment - the sloping roof meant when I sat in a rear seat my head touched glass !
All-in-all, the Skyline is a real head-turner, and both models would get you from A to B rapidly and in reasonable comfort, but neither hold any sort of advantage over our extremely versatile RX/8. And, boy, do I now realise the benefit of our suicide doors, after taking so long to wriggle out of the back of the Skyline. The grass is definitely not any greener on the other side.....
So, extra point to Q, just number 1 left to get...
