English Geography IV Quiz
Time to get that old atlas out again !
In Quiz III you had to identify some of the U.K.'s 23 longest rivers, of 100km or more in length, from their remotest sources, but only the ones which wash out into the North Sea.
These ten flow out elsewhere; exactly where is given in each case, for assistance.)
11.A lake on the east side of Plinlimmon, Powys (mouth = Bristol Channel)
12.Near Brackley, Northamptonshire (mouth = The Wash)
13.Plinlimmon, Powys (mouth = R.Severn)
14.Near Naseby, Northamptonshire (mouth = The Wash)
15.Near Naseby, Northamptonshire (mouth = R.Severn at Tewkesbury)
16.The mountains of Mourne, S.W.Down (mouth = Atlantic Ocean)
17.Bala Lake, Gwynedd (mouth = Irish Sea)
18.Pennines, SE of Kirby Stephen (mouth = Solway Firth)
19.Talsarn Mount, Powys (mouth = Bristol Channel)
20.12km south of Hawes, North Yorks (mouth = the York Ouse, near Cawood)
1 point for each one you can recognise. Good Luck !

11-17 all very precise and correct, but then 18 definitely wrong, no answer to 19 and 20 isn't what I've got here. So 7pts for the moment.
