First leg: one break each: a superb playout by Darren, denying me a second visit. 2nd leg: Derek not firing on all cylinders but still enough in the tank to pass the finish line. 3rd leg: Mick catching up with the bar down, had it all planned but tried to force a shot, leaving Lorraine to mop up. 4th leg: A first win for Taylor: he managed to get a thousand ahead and successfully defend it for victory. 5th leg: Epic struggle: Graham off with 3800, Dilly only 1500 in reply; Graham eventually pushed his score up to 6070, then Dilly set about chasing which he did with a superb break of just under 4k, leaving himself a last ball 200 to win. He had three goes at it before Graham potted 100 at the third time of asking.
Table was superb tonight, straight as a dye, good cushions, and a nice flat D. Well done the Hassocks, see you again in a fortnight's time for the Team Cup.

Lyn Storr 1960 Richard Wooton 9200 Lyn got off to a good start but Richard eventually got the break back Chris Kirkham 330 Trevor Rees 11070 Trevor was very comfortable 2 solid breaks Paul Jobbins 5240 Ben Procter 2930 Solid game from Paul Steve King 3240 Sparky 3160 Steve pulled off a good win maximising the score with the remaining balls after the bar & sinking the 200 first go. From 3-0 down  to come away with 2 points. Well played the A's. |
