Yep Sav, Steve Davis' last ranking win was really that long ago in 1995. He won the Masters in 1997 (non ranking). He recently made 2 ranking finals - the Welsh in 2004, losing 9-8 to O'Sullivan, and the 2005 UK Champs losing 10-6 to Chinese star Ding Junhui.

Hey Steve, I will mark your answers for a bit of fun, as the points have already been given away, so here goes
For 6) I think John Spencer made the first 147 at a televised event, but the camera crew had left before he made it, wasn't it also on oversized pockets? anyway when Steve Davis did it, ironically it was against John Spencer. 10) Wales won the first World Cup, Scotland the last. 11) Quentin Hann is correct, and he really is awesome at 8 ball pool, a shame he is a player with a self destruct button. 19) Jimmy White won the Players Championship in 2004, against the late Paul Hunter 23) i thought Peter Fransisco was done for the betting scam, he lost 10-2 against Jimmy White in the WC after being at 2-2, and then 'forgot' how to pot a ball. Or were both the Fransicos involved? 26) This one got everyone - it is Jamie Cope, who reached the final of the recent Grand Prix.
Well done Steve, I make that 27 out of 31.

i thought Peter Fransisco was done for the betting scam, he lost 10-2 against Jimmy White in the WC after being at 2-2, and then 'forgot' how to pot a ball. Or were both the Fransicos involved? Both Franciscos were involved in separate betting episodes. The one with Silvino occurred prior to the better-known incident involving Peter & Jimmy White. It was in the Irish Masters, a match v Dennis Taylor, when bookmakers got suspicious as they took a vast amount of money on the correct score of 5-1 to Dennis. Betting was suspended on the match, but I don't think any disciplinary action was taken. There was no suggestion that Dennis Taylor was implicated, indeed he joked afterwards about whether the two centuries he made in the match would count!

Must admit Mark I never knew about the one involving Silvino, but remember the one involving Peter Fransisco. Wasn't Peter banned stright away and I think Silvino was a better player and was still playing after Peter's ban.
Talking of Dennis Taylor, didn't Alex Higgins threaten to have him killed once if he came to Ireland, I think there was very bad blood between those two.
