1. Since the Premiership began, only 2 goalkeepers have scored, name them. 2. Who is the only person to have won the league cup in both England and Scotland ?

Hi Milhouse, happy new year and good to see someone else coming up with a quiz.
I can answer 1) I think:
Peter Schmeichel scored for Aston Villa v Everton :-[ (tart points ?)in 2001/02. And Brad Friedel scored for Blackburn v Charlton in 2003/04.

Happy New Year to you too :)
Both correct for 2 pts.

For Question 2, I'll say Fergie, although it sounds too obvious : Alex Ferguson, Scottish League Cup winner with Aberdeen '85-86 and (English) League Cup Winner with Manchester United 2005-6.
But that's as a manager, of course, and I'm at a loss to think of a player - unless it's John Hartson, recently at Celtic and whilst a very young player at Arsenal.

No and No. It is as a player, not as a manager.

Of course, silly me ! One of the players was undoubtedly Kenny Dalglish, who won the Scottish League Cup with Celtic in 1975, and the English equivalent four times with Liverpool (1981,82,83,84). ;D

Is the other Roy Keane Man U and Celtic Sadly, I think not, Herr von Puebik. ;) Keano won the Scottish League Cup with Celtic last year, agreed, but he never won the English League Cup with Man U, though he has 4 FA Cup wins to his name. To add insult to injury, he played in the 1992 Final for Nottm Forest but was on the losing side........who won ? Man Yoo. ::) To show what a sad b*st*rd I am, I have come up with three players who do fit the answer ! 1. Neil Lennon (Leicester City 1997 & 2000, and Celtic 2006) 2. Chris Woods (Nottm Forest 1978 and Rangers 1987) and the daddy of them all........... 3. Graham Souness (Liverpool 1981,2,3 & 4 and Celtic 1987,8 & 9) ;D ;D ;D And there still may be more to come, as I had five more candidates from which so far I have only eliminated two !

Okay, so I've managed to eliminate Jimmy Delaney, Derek Johnstone, Mark Viduka, Dion Dublin, Liam Miller, Brian McLair and Gary McAllister.
But I've come up with a FIFTH qualifier - Charlie Nicholas. And he's a worthy one, as not only did he score the winner in 1983 for Celtic in their 2-1 win over Rangers, but he also got BOTH goals for Arsenal in their 2-1 defeat of Liverpool in the 1987 League Cup Final. ;D
So, finally the answer to your question 2) is: Dalglish, Lennon, Woods, Souness and Nicholas.

You're welcome, Milhouse. So's not to appear too greedy I'll accept 0.5 pts for each one named in part 2. So 2pts for part 1 plus 2.5 for question 2 equals 4.5 points for tommo in all. :-*

Why thank you, Mark. Such generosity !
Isn't everyone being nice to each other for this start to the New Year ? I wonder how long though before things are back to normal and we're kicking lumps out of each other again ! ;D ;D ;D
