Good response on this one, everyone on the ball so far.
H/V/P gets 4pts for Charlie Watts/Stones and Animal/Muppets. CraigC gets 4pts for Meg White/White Stripes and Roger Taylor/Queen. And 0.5pts for spotting that the chap is a Gazza lookalike. Mark J, the master of irony, to show it's not lost on me, 4pts also for Karen Carpenter/The Carpenters and Dave Clark/The Dave Clark Five. ;D
Leaderboard:
1. CraigC 4.5pts 2= Herr van Puebik 4pts 2= Mark James 4pts

29) looks like Maurice Gibb of Bee Gees fame, but I don't remember him playing drums, keyboards yes. Sav Ooh Sav, Calling into question the integrity of the quizmeister's source of information ! ;D It's a good job I'm not vindictive by nature. :P Okay, I suppose that you are more than 50% correct, but I got my nominees from a list of "famous drummers" and can recall seeing Maurice bashing away on "You Win Again" on TOTP. Anyway, this is what Wikipedia has to say on the subject : Band Barry Gibb plays rhythm guitar; Robin Gibb usually does not play any instruments; Maurice Gibb played bass guitar, rhythm and lead guitar, piano, organ, mellotron, and electronic keyboards, synthesizers and drum tracks. From 1966 to 1972 he played multiple instruments on many records. During the late 1970s he played mainly bass guitar. From about 1986 onward he usually played keyboards.Apparently the Bee Gees included the following 3 drummers on their payroll over a course of time : Colin Peterson (1967-69); Geoff Bridgeford (1969-72) and Dennis Bryon (1974-80). They have also worked with the following session musicians on drums : Tony Beard,Adrian Hales,Steve Jordan,Manu Katche,Steve Rucher and Jeff Porcaro. So though not technically an out-and-out drummer, the late Maurice was the one member of the Bee Gees responsible for drums and percussion, so is relevant to my quiz. So you gain 2pts for Maurice/Bee Gees, and also a further bonus point for pulling the quizmeister up on a slightly tenuous technicality. ;D Leaderboard: 1. CraigC 4.5pts 2= Herr van Puebik 4pts 2= Mark James 4pts 4. Clever DickSav 3pts

Petem - 6pts. Cozy Powell sadly no longer with us : Cozy Powell died on April 5, 1998 following a car crash, driving his Saab 9000 in bad weather on the M4 motorway near Bristol, while talking to his girlfriend on his mobile phone. A lesson to us all.
IanG - 2pts. He's Rich and his name's Bernie. ;) And Buddy Rich's Big Band is correct.
