16 Wonderful Slough...my birthplace! Here's a thing ...... all those years ago it used to be in Bucks so where would your allegiances lie ? Same with me, my place of birth was at the time in Surrey: now it's part of Greater London.

Same with me, my place of birth was at the time in Surrey: now it's part of Greater London. Always Bucks to me Clive but I was only there a few years before family move to Oxford. I used to play at the Isis tavern in Iffley on the river but although in Oxford City it was in Berkshire. Over the lock in Iffley was the Prince of Wales in Oxfordshire. Friday night closing was 10.30 in Berkshire and 11pm in Oxon - guess where the mad dash came in on Friday nights!! Boundary changes stopped all that quirky nonsense!

Many of the pubs in Horsham and its surrounding villages hold some sort of enduring memory for me. Plenty a tale to tell.
