Your speculation leads me to comment that a popular use nowadays is as "fruits of the forest" - either in yoghurts or in the desert "Eton Mess". 0.5 bonus
Tell you what you don't see much of these days: gooseberry jam. After a "fruitless" search of 2-3 years I finally turned up a supplier. She calls herself The Jam Lady and I bought 3 jars off her at the Ifield Village May Fair a year ago. If as seems likely this year's is cancelled (sob !) I'll have to put in a direct order:
9 Leics yes, Derbys yes, Lincs no.....1pt, The third one for a half point, anyone ? Quoting Wiki............................

5) Think raspberry is right but sure it is a dewberry 0.5pt for the alternative dewberry:
Blackberries are slightly sweeter and less acidic than dewberries; dewberries are larger but usually ripen a week to 10 sooner than blackberries.
