Tommo am I going mad or is one of those a trick question? I could just be blowing my own trumpet Well it seems you have found my quiz-setter out.
The answer on my crib-sheet to No.2) is "Daniel" but this is contrary to what appears on Wikipedia (= Satchmo or "old Satchel Mouth" was born Louis Daniel Armstrong). So you earn a bonus point for that. But you can rest assured that tommo never knowingly sets trick questions or attempts to "out-fox" people.

8 the bloke with the nose!? whats his name If you're thinking of David Schneider (aka Uncle Max) he's British not from the US. And if Jimmy "Schnozzle" Durante, though American, that was the name he was born with.
Sorry, not enough for a bonus. Can give you the following clue, though:
He was renowned not for any rhinocerical attribute, but for his open, freestyle and critical form of comedy which contained satire, politics, religion, sex and vulgarity.

Further clue: Luke Kirby played him in the critically acclaimed television series The Marvellous Mrs Maisel

Never heard of him even after googling as he died 54 years ago! bit difficult that one. You must have led a sheltered life, Chris !!!!!
One of those like Jack Smethurst (Love Thy Neighbour) who would not get away with it now.
