Here's a bit of fun. A picture plus a brief description to help interpret the hieroglyphic. All you have to do is identify the name of the Egyptian god. First lot of 12 (there will be 36 in all). 1 Jackal-god of mummification and a god of the netherworld. 2 Guarded the lungs of the dead. 3 Egyptian fish goddess. She was worshipped in the Nile Delta, especially at Mendes 4 Sister and wife of Osiris. The last sign of her name, as shown here, is actually the sign for Hathor. Often is shown with that crown, too (with cows horns around a sun). Often shown with her throne (the first symbol of her name) on her head. Goddess of magic. 5 Ram-headed god, who created human beings. 6 Goddess of order, truth and justice. 7 Goddess of war & weaving. 8 Goddess of the sky. 9 The sun god and creator of the universe. 10 Scorpion goddess of magic. 11 Lion-headed Goddess of moisture & rain. 12 Usher of the dead. 1pt for each. Good luck !

Apophis has more to do with cats and snakes rather than someone with a sheep's head, Milhouse. ;) ;D ;D But you're spot on with Ra. [glow=red,2,300]Milhouse 1pt[/glow]

All correct except for number 3) which as you can see has a fish suspended over her head. Your answer, Satet, wears the white crown of Upper Egypt with antelope horns on the side, viz: Six points, nonetheless - and just that one to get. Leaderboard: 1. Wolfman 6pts 2. CraigC 4pts 3. Milhouse 1pt Isn't Nut brilliant, by the way ? She covers the whole globe. Must be the largest goddess ever. ;)
