One more quiz on modern-ish pop until we enter a phase of nostalgia in the form of Duncan Disorderly - type quizzes. Normal rules apply.
1 Who reached number one in 2001 with a cover of Uptown Girl ? 2 Which Spice Girl had a 2001 hit with It's Raining Men ? 3 What George Harrison song topped the charts in 2002, 31 years after it first reached number one ? 4 Which group Crashed The Wedding in November 2003 ? 5 Adam Levine is the lead singer of which group ? 6 What sort of boy did Estelle sing about on her 2008 hit ? 7 What was Take That's first hit after they reformed in 2006 ? 8 Changes was a 2003 number one hit for which father and daughter ? 9 The Suburbs was a 2010 number one album by which group ? 10 Which Greek goddess gave its name to a 2010 album by Kylie Minogue ? 11 Billie Joe Armstrong is the lead singer with which group ? 12 The Defamation of Strickland Banks was a best selling album by which artist ? 13 The band Sigur Ros are from which country ? (Appleby bonus) 14 Which indie rockers had the Golden Touch in 2004 ? 15 Which female singer reached number one in the charts with an album called Lights ? 16 Which group recorded West Ryder Paupe Lunatic Asylum ? 17 What sort of Age did The Strokes sing about in 2001 ? 18 Which music veteran sang at the half-time show of Super Bowl XLV ? 19 What is the award winning singer Adele's surname ? 20 Who topped the charts in 2012 with Twilight ? (cricketing bonus)
Good luck !

15 ellie goulding 8 ozzy and kelly Osborne 1 westlife all correct from Lewis for 3pts plus a 0.5pt Ozzy bonus.
Saw Ellie Goulding play live before she got famous. Margo and I went to see Little Boots at Shepherds Bush Empire in Dec 2009 and Ellie was the support act. Wasn't a patch on Little Boots, though.

Thank you Bob. Upon Googling, I find that you are right and my quiz book is faulty on this one. Quote: So points........... 1pt to Boball for pointing out the error without actually naming a possible answer (Usher has probably been going longest out of the options) Daveuk1 keeps his points as he was led astry by my clue Lewis gets a retrospective bonus point for naming Beyonce who was the year after Madonna - and as a result wins this quiz !
Final final points: Lewis 8.5pts
Daveuk1 8pts Jordans 4.5pts DaveJones 2.5pts Gandalf 2pts Boball 1pt
