I've had them out this morning, well some of them and been playing with them, of course I mean my records. listened to loads but here are some lyrics from 25 i have listened to, see if you can name the song. not sure if i should be proud or embarrassed by how diverse my collection is.
normal rules apply, only 3 answers per day, i need a rest from the 7 inch black beast for a while so need this to last a couple of days
1. Flowing in and out of changes. Kind that come around each day. My life has a better meaning. Love has kissed me in a beautiful way
2. Well now, I get low and I get high. And if I can't get either, I really try. Got the wings of heaven on my shoes. I'm a dancin' man and I just can't lose
3. I tried to understand this. I thought that they were out of their minds. How could I be so foolish (How could I). To not see I was the one behind
4. So don't misunderstand me. You put the light in my life. Oh, you put the spark to the flame. I've got your heart in my sights
5. Remember the day I set you free. I told you you could always count on me darling. From that day on, I made a vow. I'll be there when you want me
6. Well you started out with nothing. And you're proud that you're a self made man. And your friends, they all come crawlin. Slap you on the back and sayd
7. We've come to far to leave it all behind. How could we end it all this way? When tomorrow comes and we'll both regret things we said today
8. So long we go, his welfare is my concern. No burdon is he to bear, we'll get there. But I know he would not encumber me
9. Tell me why. Everything turned around. Packing up. Shacking up is all you want to do
10. From genesis to revelation, yeah. The next generation will be hear me .All the crimes committed day by day. No one try to stop it in any way
11. Don't stop for nobody. This time I'll keep my feet on solid ground. Now I understand myself when I'm down. Like the sweet sound of hip music
12. While the population feeds. Junk floats on polluted water. An old custom to sell your daughter. Would you like number twenty three?
13. One month ago today. I was happy as a lark. But now I go for walks. To the movies, maybe to the park
14. A better love you won't find today. Just one chance and I will show you love. Like no other, two steps On your ladder I'll be a peg
15. They're ready to go now they got their surfboards. And they're going to the discotheque Au Go Go. But she just couldn't stay she had to break away. Well New York City really has is all
16. I'm gonna call her on the telephone. Have her over 'cause I'm all alone. I need excitement, oh, I need it bad. And it's the best I've ever had
17. Late that night I park my car. Stake my place in the singles bar. Face to face, toe to toe. Heart to heart as we hit the floor
18. You know that chick that used to dance a lot. Every night she'd be on the floor, shakin' what she got. Man when I tell you she was cool she was red hot. I mean, she was steamin
19. Zoo time, is she and you time. The mammals are your favourite type, and you want her tonight. Heartbeat, increasing heartbeat. You hear the thunder of stampeding rhinos, elephants and tacky tigers
20. Ladders bout' to fall. Thirteen month old baby. Broke the lookin' glass. Seven years of bad luck,
21. The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in. Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin.Engines stop running, but I have no fear
22. See mi in mi Benz and ting. Drivin' through Constant Spring. Them check sey me come from cosmo spring. But a true dem no know and ting
23. I can't see much of a future. Unless we find out what's to blame, what a shame. And we won't be together much longer. Unless we realize that we are the same
24. Chain-store chain-smoke. I consume you all. Chain-gang chain-mail. I don't think at all
25. I watch the ripples change their size. But never leave the stream. Of warm impermanence. And so the days float through my eyes. But still the days seem the same

Hmmmm didn't you like punk? Hate it with a passion. Only punk bands I could stand were Transvision Vamp and Blondie (probably for obvious reasons) although at least Blondie had musical merit. The advent of punk stopped Progressive Rock in its tracks, I still cling to the latter. But my daughter went through the phase of having green hair and wearing safety pins and razor blades. Fortunately Madonna then came along to rescue her (with beads and fingerless mittens) LOL

Still a few to go but it's all gone quiet.
For some reason I really thought Dave would get Q1 as it is a disco classic aimed at the romantic ones
Q3 Is from a group named after an out of control fruit.
Q10 although this is a reggae type track, the Clash did do a cover as an album track in the 70s

Still 5 questions to go, if it's not completed in a couple of days I'll fill in the answers
Q1 was a 70s hit for the emotions
Q10 was recorded by both Junior Murvin and the Clash
Q15 was a hit for the ramones
Q23 think of the Buzzcocks
That leaves Q24 and I'm still happy to donate a tenner to SARS if anyone gets the answer with no clues, I need to dig the record out again as I may of been sent it as a promo disc
