Watched the table recovering with interest. Would liked to have seen a little more longitudinal tension when doing the first side and then pulling across the table more diagonal as well, however you 'recovered' it with those nifty wide jaw mole grips! never seen those, brilliant idea Alan.
Rings appear rather loose and I like to pull the cloth into the hole with weight from underneath. Pushing the rings in by hand risks uneven pressure and may cause rucks in my view. I like to tap them in under a square of hardwood, keeping it nice and flat so the tension is even.
Still excellent to see someone showing others how to do it.
I think I may move this to the maintenance area?
Must go order some of those pliers!

Researched Alan's vice clamps a bit further and found canvas stretching pliers for canvas picture framing, look ideal as I have difficulty in gripping the cloth and pulling it tight enough as I get more senile.
Watch the leverage bit at 4 mins
