Who was the last player to score for England with a moustache ? Are you sure this isn't a trick question and the answer isn't Bernie McCluskey ? ;D ;D

The older brethren among you will remember Raymond Glendenning's radio commentaries, but I wonder if you know which was the first FA Cup Fnal to be broadcast on the radio, and who the commentator was.

Well Dave, I believe I know this one, as I put up two quizzes last year on FA Cup history and had to research the subject. In fact I'm not sure why I didn't include this one in with the others as my question 16 on Quiz II was about the first televised FA Cup Final.
Anyway, I believe 2007 is the 80th anniversay of radio commentary, and it was the famous occasion when the cup went out of England: Cardiff Bluebirds 1, Arsenal 0, played at Wembley 30th April 1927, and the commentator was Derek McCulloch.

1 point for the match (the result of which is of special significance to me as I was born in Cardiff ) 0 points for the commentator - your clue is that he went on to become a famous club manager

It was George Allison, who went on to manage Arsenal

I don't begrudge Kevin his point for George Allison, as he shared the commentary, but it's common knowledge that the senior commentator was none other than "Uncle Mac". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_McCulloch

I have a question that those into research might like. Which English football club/s have had 2 (or more) different managers with the same name? I can only think of one.

I can think of just one too, Reggy, but not sure if it counts. Brighton and Hove Albion: Peter Taylor, and his namesake (now deceased) whom Brian Clough brought with him from Nottingham Forest to be his joint-manager of the club.

That's the one that comes to my mind Tommo. Brian Clough left after a few months leaving Taylor in charge.
1pt I think

So I think we can close this one for the time being - but it can be re-opened at the drop of a hat !
Results: 1. tommo (can't be bothered with arguing the toss over the Arsenal question) 2pts 2= Ian Gordon 1pt 2= Kevin Pringle 1pt

I like H/V/P's lateral thinking. ;D
Any which way, I will add the points into the table as appropriate.
