Hi everyone, I hope that you have all come through the last few months unscathed although I know it isn’t over yet. We decided at the meeting that the League positions will finish as is so the Stag ‘A’ and ALexandra ‘B’ are champions. We would like to finish the competitions off if possible, players and venues permitting. We know of three venues for definite that can be used, Stags Head, Blue Anchor & Henty. Possibly the Alexandra as well. If any players are unwilling to play, we will understand. Everything is at the semi final stage apart from the Men’s pairs where there are two quarter finals still to play. KT & Nipper v Geoff & Martin, Barry & Joe v Nick & Gary, if your nominated venue is available then use it, if not, arrange another between yourselves. The remainder of competitions are on a separate thread.
The Chairman’s Cup & Shield Finals could be played but I think the social distancing rule has to be relaxed first. Watch this space
I have updated the Worthing website with the below so everyone knows what the current situation is and must strongly say that the outstanding games that the committe have agreed we will try to complete is dependant on those involved feeling both happy and safe to do so once venues and government guidelines allow them to take place. Please if you see this can you inform myself or Kevin of your situation.
