(This is more straightforward, so a simple 1pt for each correct answer.)Hmm, a lot of hard work put into your answers, but unfortunatley I can only award a simple point for each as per the above. So here we go: 22. Two saints mentioned, creature common to both is Bees. (1pt) 23. St Eligius, often shown with a horse's hind leg. Horse (1pt) 25. Fish, correct for 1pt 26. Lamb, correct for 1pt 28. No animal mentioned. 0pts 29. Dog, usually a black and white one. Correct, 1pt 30. Oxford gets its name from a crossing for oxen. Ox correct (1pt) 37. Admitted, St Eligius has a blacksmith's association, but he doesn't fit the rest of the question. A brave 6pts. Leaderboard: 1. Wolfman 6pts 2. CraigC 1pt

31 not correct: St Honoratus is represented as a bishop over the island of Lérins with a phoenix below, or drawing water from a rock with his mitre near him; His patronage is against drought; against misfortune; against rain; or for rain. 35 St Barbara - correct (1pt) 36 St Cecilia - correct (1pt) 37 St Eligius - not correct; was the answer to 23). Although he is the patron of goldsmiths, blacksmiths, and all workers in metal, he generally holds a crosier in his right hand and a miniature church of chased gold on the open palm of his left hand. No tongs in evidence ! 38 St Joseph and St Thomas - correct (2pts) 40 St Amand - not correct . Admittedly he is the patron saint of wine makers, beer brewers, merchants, innkeepers & bartenders but his attributes are a chair, church or flag and not an axe buried in the root of a tree. Can allow half a point for the first part, though. So 4.5pts, good effort.

Calling time on this one. The missing answers: 21) A bear. 24) A swan. 27) Cows/cattle. 28) Sheep. :o :o 31) St Peter. 32) St Paul. 33) St Bartholomew. 34) St Augustine. 37) St Dunstan. 40) St Boniface: St. Boniface Cutting Down the Sacred Oak: Boniface returned to find that his problems had worsened. People were attracted by Christianity but unable to give up their old religion and superstitions, perhaps out of fear of being different or of how their old "gods" would react. Knowing that the people needed a reason to let go, Boniface called the tribes to a display of power. As the people watched, Boniface approached the giant oak of Geismar, a sacred tree dedicated to Thor, with an axe. Some of the people must have trembled with each stroke of his axe, but nothing happened. Finally with a crack, the tree split in four parts that we, are told, fell to the ground in the shape of a cross. There stood Boniface, axe in hand, unharmed by their old gods, strong in the power of the one God. It finished: 1. Wolfman 6pts 2. CraigC 5.5pts
