Northants Open 2021

Hi All,

Due to Boris and his roadmap, Northants Bar Billiards would like to announce we will be holding our open August 29th 2021.

As a committee we will review all restrictions as and when they are in place or lifted.

Venue is being discussed currently and will be confirmed soon.

Entries will be available from tomorrow morning on Northants Bar Billiards website:- www.northantsbarbilliards.com/

We will also look to hold our Northants 4 Pin tournament the day before for everyone looking at making a weekend of it,

Just a warning for those staying over the hotel prices have gone up so I would suggest get on it.

Yes I found that was on free cancellation so took that option as had gone up £100 each for the 3 nights. Now managed to book a 3 bed apartment close to my original hotel (again with free cancellation).

It is the Bank Holiday weekend.

It's also still the moto gp weekend at Silverstone so always expensive to stay there then have also found a flat for the weekend with free cancellation on trivago.
It will just be good to have something to look forward to again fingers crossed.

Have you got a spare room? I just checked the ibis and the cheapest room they are showing for the Saturday night is £141, the week before and after are coming up at £51

Just paid via the web site for James Whittle 4 pin and open. See on the web site it shows The Cock as the venue is this now confirmed??

I hope all is well and safe with everyone
In the bar billiards world. I appreciate with all restrictions it is so difficult to plan opens. Let's hope 19th July brings some hope.
Does anyone connected with the Northants open have any updates with the planned weekend.
Myself and Jim Balchin are hoping like a few others to stay up for the weekend but have lost our intended stopover.
Any news would help.

We are still hoping that the restrictions will be changed and we can let the Open go ahead.

At this moment it’s still on and to be held at The Cock Hotel again

Let's hope you are right and it can go ahead.
Rumours from the breweries don't sound too promising though. They are expecting restrictions on numbers inside to remain at 6 or possibly increased to 10. Face masks still to be warn when standing.
Let's hope they are wrong but I think now people are holding on to hear the next announcement before they commit.

I've got a few bottles of hand sanitiser (13) I had ready for our open in Suffolk so if still needed don't go out and buy any
