Sean and Graeme, if it helps the admin desk... put me in with Gary R. That is if Gary doesn’t mind. GJ.

Graeme/Sean -
Do you plan to provide tournament updates on the Jersey website as per usual - so that we can follow progress from the mainland ?
Cheers, tommo

Unfortunately I am not going to make it this year I have left it as late as possible as I was still going to try and get there today but I have been advised by the doctor not to travel. Hopefully I will be all okay in the next few days. Good luck everyone. Regards PO

Well I called for adventures but wasn't expecting the regrettable occurrences that befell both Dave Ingram and James Whittle. Thoughts and best wishes go to both. tommo

Well done all fabulous results 're Pairs, iko and plate. Could I ask though how is Dave Ingram ? Chris Sorry Chris I am trying to find the latest on Dave but had heard they were going to transfer him to a hospital in England. Another sad piece of news from the weekend was that having made the last 16 of the main James Whittle was informed that his father had passed away on Sunday. May I thank the whole bar billiard family for the wat they rallied round James after the police attended to give him the, for him, devastating news. There was support from all but may I say that Denise from Surrey was there when the police arrived and was an absolute star being there to comfort and support James. From there the support was amazing with too may to name individual supporting James and myself as I was a bit lost as to what I could do. James and I got home last evening safe and sound and his local pub had arranged a meal from him and his support worker was there to greet us. James would like to thank you all for the support. going to be a long road ahead for him and the support from our extended bar billiard family is going to be so important.

Chris Just seen the below from Dave on face book " As some people may know, unfortunately I was rushed into hospital on Sunday afternoon after having a heart attack while playing in the last 16 of the World Bar Billiards Championships..... what makes it worse is that I was winning that game pretty comfortably when I had to retire from the game, I would certainly have collapsed if I had tried to go back to the table after touching up on my previous visit. 😢 I am still in Jersey hospital awaiting a transfer to Oxford hospital where I will undergo an operation. At the moment I am just waiting for a place at the hospital and for the private air ambulance plane to be available to fly me there, hopefully today. On the plus side, I am feeling a lot better now than I did on Sunday and my condition is "stable"..... but, I am also going stir crazy as I really don't like hospitals especially when they won't even let me get out of bed to use the toilet.... I am not a "patient patient"! 🤣 But, I am sure that I will soon be out and about annoying everyone again soon.... 😆 "

Hi all I would just like to say a big thankyou to Graeme and Sean for all their amazing efforts running the 40th World Championships. Thanks also to Nigel Ryalls hard work setting the tables up. Congratulations to all winners. Hopefully catch up again in Guernsey next year. A lovely weekend even if it ended on a sad note with Dave Ingram ending up in hospital and the sad loss of James Whittles dad. Dave heard is doing ok and TJ is llooking after his old mate.
