Hi Everybody
I thought that it was time to update you all on the current situation in the BHBBL Universe
Alfold SC, The Railway, Roffey SSC, The Mucky Duck (Ex Blue Ship), The Cricketers Wisborough Green (Ex Limeburners) and The Windmill Gossops Green are all confirmed starters
The Lintot have lost their table, but the team will play at Roffey Cricket Club, Southwater SC also lost their table and have yet confirmed their venue for the coming season
The fixture list for eight teams is complete, I only have to attach team names to the numbers, with the season starting Wednesday 13th October, and ending, COVID Permitting, on about Wednesday 13th April
Only league and team cup matches are currently included in this timescale, if there is enough interest Individual Competitions can be run afterwards in May and June
If Southwater SC can find a venue I may bring the starting date forward to Wednesday 29th September
Finally over the BHBBL Grapevine the following has been mentioned
Firstly, in a lot of cases at the end of the evening, many venues are waiting to close their doors by 10.30pm, and seeing as the majority of players are retired, I have thought about revising the starting time for matches from 8.30 to 8.00pm
If this is not convenient, the two teams can arrange with each other to start at 8.30 instead
Secondly, in this day and age is the supply of sandwiches necessary at the end of the evening
Any opinion of these two points would be very welcome
