It is with great sadness that I let you know that Geoff Pitt sadly passed away yesterday.
He was a great ambassador of the game, playing in Wokingham, Reading and Portsmouth.
Our condolences and heartfelt thoughts go to Judy and his family.
He will be truly missed as one of the true gentleman of Bar Billiards.

Thankyou Chris A truly sad piece of news . I played against Geoff many times over the years. Through Surrey invitation matches, county play off games and numerous other occasions . As Chris has said what an ambassador and wonderful gent.A loss to our game. My condolences to all his family R.I.P Geofff. |

We’re really gutted about this sad news. I’ve known Geoff for over 30 years and played him many times. Always a Jersey regular as well . He and Judy always had time to talk to Hayley and myself when passing. He will be sadly missed. Condolences to Judy and family from both of us x

Really saddened by this awful news.
One of the truly nice guys in our game,
I knew Geoff well from the season I played in Wokingham and Newbury leagues over 25 years ago along with the much missed Alan Challoner when working away from home.

Shocked and saddened by this news.
Geoff always had the time to sit and talk to you.
Had many a long interesting chat with Geoff and Judy on various occasions.
A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.

What terrible news. As everyone has said Geoff was a true gentleman of the sport and always a pleasure to play against. I have known him through Inter Area games for over 40 years and was a fine player capable of beating anybody on his day.
Invariably with his dear partner Judy on his travels all over the world, he will sorely missed by her, his family and friends to whom I send my condolences.

Geoff, I can’t believe that you have gone. I had the pleasure of being in the same Reading summer league team for over 10 years while I was working in
Pompey. I used to drive up on a Thursday night, and you were there with Dennis (Clayden), Alan(Chaloner), Dave (Nielsen), and the other Dave.
You only just got in to your retirement, it just isn’t fair. RIP.

I had an email from the Reading League this morning informing us that, very sadly, Judy Saunders has passed away. Jude will be remembered by many as Geoff Pitt's constant companion in life, which they both lived to the full.

More sad news, such a lovely couple. To lose Geoff was hard and now Judy. We used to look forward to seeing them in Jersey and catching up.
