There's been a bit of a revival on this recently, so in honour of VE Day (today) here's ten quick and very easy questions.
1. Name the two British Airmen who were waiting to be smuggled out of France. 2. Listen very carefully, I shall say zis only once: Who was the 'Leader of the Resistance' ? 3. Which German officer accidentally escaped from the PoW camp, and was smuggled over to England? 4. Name the actor who played General von Klinkerhoffen. 5. Name all 6 of Renee's lovers (some were unrequited.) 6. Which member of ze Gestapo, a 'shining example of German womanhood' wore special underwear with little swastikas ? 7. Who is the secret serviceman posing as a Gendarme, and what is his favourite greeting ? 8. What was the name of the Italian Captain, and name the first actor who played him. 9. In what food substance was the painting of the Fallen Madonna With The Big Boobies hidden? 10. What goes into overdrive when Monsieur Alphonse catches a glimpse of women's underclothing ?
Bon chance !

1) Carstairs I seem to remember ws the other airman.
7) Arthur Bostrom (or the script writers) have a lot to anwer for in Officer Crabtree. 'Gooot Moaning' and 'I was pissing by your doour' are two of the grretings. 8) I think you will find Kitter was the second Bertorelli and Gavin Richards originated the part.
Saw the stage show in London years agi, hilarious!! more freedom than i the TV series, Lt Gruuber and a blow up rubber doll manikin and trying to blow air back in a 'puncture' was sides splitting.

Carstairs correct and Crabtree correct.
Like you, Margo and I have seen a stage version, but ours was in the Old Barn Theatre (Ifield) and was staged by the local amateur dramatic group.
It was hilarious, much was made of Herr Flick and Helga, and the best 'prop' was Renee's decoy duck which he got rather frustrated with and threatened to plug - a la little Dutch boy (with the dyke). :o ;D
Quiz ended: 1. Wolfman 16pts 2. Sav 2pts

Was I right about Richards Tommo? Sav. Whoops yes, failed to spot that faux pas. Gavin Richards played Bertorelli for 34 episodes from 1987-1989 and erstwhile comedian and impressionist Roger Kitter took over for 10 episodes from Jan-Mar 1991. Richards of course went on to become Terry Raymond in EastEnders from 1996-2002. Will have to adjust the points thus : 1. Wolfman 15pts 2. Sav 3pts Sorry Wolfman !

Clive, did you know that an early role for Guy Siner (LT Gruber) was being 'EXTERMINATED' by the Daleks in Genesis Of The Daleks starring Tom Baker
