Wes Sussex 2 Redhill A 5 Gary Evans 4340 Tony Cross 6790 Martin Cole 200 Geoff Jukes 13610 Chris Cox 3240 Dave Jones 1780 Daniel Wheal 10380 Terry Oakley 1360 Kev Charlton 0 John Slee 5960 Barry Holt 800 Dave Constable 7000 Alan Hitchman 5430 Colin Robbins 7210
Captain up first leading from the front. A cracking opening leg with Gary going off with a steady 4k. Tony got the balls back early and head down all but played It out to take the frame.
Up next what a Clash . Martin Cole and legend Geoff Jukes a high stakes encounter. Geoff as he so often does head down steady, flowing along 9 grand up frame done And dusted did his best to throw it away with an awful split.but in the end was a convincing winner.
Dave Jones and Coxy. DJ off early and struggling with the top Chris forged a little in front. Plenty Of shots each till a ball left up the middle. The next shot ranks as one of the as one of the worst I've seen as Coxy nearly kills the chalker wwith the black peg. Somehow he gets them back and wins.
Next up young Daniel hard to beat on his home top broke off with 9k and touch gave terry no chance 2-2 honours even.
Yours truly next on off with 2500 but struggling for any consistency. Kev and Myself getting plenty of goes before a late 3k won it.
Dc and Barry saw another topsy turvy start DC struggling to work the top out. Barry couldn't get them back and a fine break by dave in the middle took The leg and the Match.
Last up Alan broke off with 4500 and was looking very solid. A few more shots each and Colin got the balls back A cracking 7k break wrapped it up.
A lovely evening with the West Sussex lads .Great fun and plenty of jovial banter.

Tunbridge Wells 4-3 Brighton A **Pete Sainsbury 11,190 - 3740 Chris Tupper - excellent 10k plus opener from Pete Bryan Stevens 3150 - 8090 Phil Osborne** - PO struggled early but strong finish made it 1-1 Gerry Fitzjohn 3320 - 8630 Matthew Knight** - opposite to Phil, good start but then a wobble, Fitz tight for time chasing when left one-up short (thanks for the dairy milk) **Curt Driver 10,200 - 2260 Bob Osborne - excellent 10k from Curt Paul Sainsbury 5390 - 11,300 Nigel Senior** - perfect 11k from Nige Martin Russell 9080 - 0 Bob Hall** - not Bob's night, 2 pegged breaks and Martin had 3 to win **Richard Corbould 8330 - 740 Kevin Hall - mad leg, peg wobble from Richard only misjudgement in a nice 7k break, then left awkward ball and missed it, some lovely shots from Kev to clear, then missed split and off - Rich, put his lost break away and made an excellent 8k break to give the hosts the win Entertaining night with plenty of good natured banter - always tough opponents especially in the absence of 2 world champs (get well soon guys) but we had chances. Thanks to our hosts for a good night and well done on their win

Rick Cunningham * | 7050 | 1970 | Huw Lincoln | Mal Spier
| 730 | 9980 | Jan Bithell * | Steve Aylmore | 1460 | 8480 | Trevor Rees * | Neil Higgins * | 5520 | 3090 | Chase Newman | Tony Jenner | 10570 | 650 | Dave Knight * | Dave Jones | 2880 | 4240 | Richard Todd * | Pete Hickman * | 1370 | 4790 | Rick Bithell |
Good opener game from Rick who lost and opening 3.5k, Huw had the balls back but off at 1.5k and Rick made sure. Very steady game from Jan who only gave Mal one chance when she came of at 3.5k but Mal unable to get the balls back. Another steady game here by Trevor again only giving Steve one chance. Neil built 4k lead, Chase got them back and off at 3k, Neil made sure Dave pegged his opener and gave me the break back, off at 2k after a double kiss but was first to get them back and a steady 6k 50/10 splits all the way before I touched up. I added a few more at the end to put us in a good position. Richard and Dave had a good battle both getting the break back 3 times Richard making better use of it then Dave to take us to a decider. Pete put his 2nd one up behind and took the peg, Rick balls back and off at 1.8k. Lot of time then at back of table before Rick got them back and made sure touching with the bar due. Pete did get the balls back but put the one up behind again!!! Good win for Lewes to avenge their 4-3 loss last weekend. Nice friendly evening and thanks to them for rearranging the game. Thanks also to Mal and Neil for standing in for us tonight so we that we could field a full side and as usual thanks to Kat and Steve at the Alexandra for opening on a Sunday evening so we can play and for the sandwiches.

Worthing A 4 Brighton B 3
Lorin Clough* 8570 Michelle Baden 6190 Terry Molloy 0 Stuart Carruthers* 16070 Joe Oakley 2660 Jim Greensted* 12160 Stuart Mepham* 9300 Marcus Chipman 3090 Kevin Tunstall 280 Alan Brackenridge* 8630 Martin Smith 6460 Jean Brackenridge* 6370 Alan Mepham* 5950 Ashley Harrison 3660
A very close match with Worthing A getting the victory with a good late break from Alan in the last.
Chelle was catching Lorin in the first but didn't realise how close she was when not attacking a difficult ball. Legs two and three were won with the opening visit. Alan lost his opening break but took advantage next time when KT failed to get the balls back. Leg six was the key with Jean opening with 6k but, after a few visits each, Martin got on the break and caught Jean with his last shot. Alan and Ash was close for a long time and could have gone either way but Alan got back on the break at the right time.
Well played to Worthing A for a good night and thanks to the pub for some good food.
