POSSIBLE COVID INTERRUPTION TO THE SEASON

Hi Everybody

If there is a Covid interruption after Xmas, I would like to plan in advance

So below is an E-Mail that I have sent to the BHBBL Committee, with the format of a possible plan

Hopefully it will not be needed and the season will restart as scheduled on Wednesday 5th January

Hi Everybody

Although we have reached December without any Covid interruption, I am not sure as to whether the season will restart in early January

Another lockdown is unlikely, but there maybe further restrictions affecting hospitality venues after Xmas

They may include Social Distancing, Table Service, Mask Wearing, and a Limited Group Number (Group of 6 etc) , all of which will cause an interruption to our season

If this happens, I intend to restart the season on the second Wednesday after the restrictions have been lifted

Obviously a new fixture list will have to be distributed, and I will try and get as many matches played until mid May

So let us hope that if there are any restrictions, they only last a few weeks in January, and we can start playing again in February

This is a sensible precaution and is something I have been thinking on. Both Mid Sussex & Horsham have capacity to put a temporary delay to the fixtures without causing too many headaches and would be simpler than having postponed matches which then have to be rearranged.

We don't yet know what further restrictions will be put in so we just have to wait.
