Old Oak 3, Jolly Bricks 2Clive bt *Mike 3520-1270 (Mike outplayed me shot for shot until I finally got the break back 2 mins from the end)Charlie lost to *Peter 670-1820 (Peter inched ahead with some good play around the 100 and had extended his lead to 1k by the end)Paul bt *Iain 3310-2860 (very similar game to game one with Paul finally getting his chance)*Nick lost to Bob 0-1990 (Bob kept all his scores, the unfortunate Nick didn't; one cracking 100 shot, though, off the side cushion)Martin bt *John 4830-2610 (Best of the evening from our captain who settled into the groove half way through) Got home late, to discover an injured Margo whom the dog had dragged through a garden hedge having spotted a fox.

Mvc B 3 Spcc A 2
Colin 11670 Laurie 200 Bud 5240 Junkie 960 Geoff 2860 John 4550 Tony 6010 Dave 3180 Gary 2600 Tracy 4950
Frame one in form Col against Laurie. Colin off with the start a superb 9k gave Loz no table time. Balls back once more and frame over.
Leg 2 Bud and Junkie. Junkie on Junkie off gave Bud an early chance and he made 3k. A right scrappy game ensued with loads of goes each.Bud chipping away and Junks with not a lot of luck.and in the end Bud ran out a good winner.
2-0 down and all to do left me and Geoff. John going along ok then missed a 10 split. A few shots each and Geoff got the balls back and I thought the worse. Geoff also missed a split and then it all got bogged down at the top. Geoff did eventually get them Back again but time was against him. 2-1.
Tony and DC on four Tony on first disappointed to come off with 2500. Leg as before Got scrappy till Dave got them back. Going along nicely DC all but caught Tony only to Unfortunately come off on 10 split. Tony made sure of the frame on his next visit.
Last but not least Tracy and back from Injury and Covid Gary. Fresh from his triumphs over Tunstall and Robbins things looked ominous but Tracy had other ideas.Yet another slog and scrap on a tricky top of the table. Tracey making a couple of useful breaks and Frustrating Gaz. In the end a very good win .
A great night with all our mates at Merstham. Tight top of the table match in the end with top of the table tricky. Happy with 2-3 could have been 5-0 so easily.

Thanks for your concern. She's in a lot of pain so took her to the walk-in centre (casualty dept) today......we gave up after waiting two hours and being told it would be anything up to another hour. So now dosed up with painkillers.

Haven't got the scores, only 1 game going to the wire with Pete coming from behind with a 4000+ break to win by a couple of hundred
