At last ! A Quiz that EVERYONE will be able to answer.
This is a Quiz on the Kipling Awards – the most popular thread on the Forum. All the answers can be found easily, by reading through the 40 pages from start to finish.
1. Who earns points for frequently wearing the blue football shirt from a well-known Liverpool club ? 2. Who has the job of chasing cats away from the Kipling thread ? 3. Who was depicted with a sheep’s head, and later holding a guitar shaped like a sheep’s skull ? 4. Who recently ate a 4-egg omelette for breakfast ? 5. Who is the BB Flirter ? 6. Who scored 20,000 points, later reduced to just 12 for wearing a Manchester United shirt ? 7. Who does Hammy think resembles Ben Volepierre Pierrot of Curiosity Killed The Cat ? 8. Why did Sparky acquire the nickname ‘pretty boy’ for a while ? 9. Who is prone to losing his jacket on the way back from Bournemouth ? 10. Which famous player spilled beer over a table at the All-England AGM ? 11. Who had a dangerous but laughable near-miss accident involving a golf club ? 12. Who is the Cannoniser of the Colemanator ? 13. Of what nationality is TV’s Nobby the Sheep ? 14. Who had a fight with plastic chairs, and woke up next morning with a strained Calf ? 15. Who wore a purple party hat at the AGM ? 16. Who fell into his sister’s pond at a Christmas party and was nearly drowned (and was fortunate that Barrymore was nowhere near at the time ?) Bonus point for the locality. 17. What strange hairstyle does the person known as the Peelmeister have ? 18. Who so far have earned Kipling Points for Beer Juggling ? (A point for each you can name) 19. Which seafaring gentleman earned points for turning up at Burton Cons instead of Rushden Cons for a lunchtime game ? 20. Whose guinea pig shelter took off in a storm ?
Good luck, but these are so easy that speed bonuses will be awarded by discretion.

Milhouse has four correct answers, and well spotted that Nobby has "dual nationality" - a bonus 0.5 for that. Hammy has three correct (sorry number 2 is wrong, it's a four legged creature other than a hamster, as H/V/P will be quick to point out).
Milhouse gets a 2.5 speed bonus for getting his answers in within the half-hour, and Jase gets a 2pt bonus for answering within the hour. Future responses will be scaled accordingly.
Leaderboard: 1. Milhouse 7pts 2. Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 5pts

Not a bad effort, Josie. 3) and 5) are correct, but 12) is not. for 18) yes indeed margo and tommo have both spilt their ale in the excitement of the moment so a point for each. One "speed point" bonus. I make that 5 in all, level with Hammy.
Leaderboard: 1. Milhouse 7pts 2= Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 5pts 2=Josie 5pts
2,4,6,8,9,11,12,14,16,18 & 20 left to get....

:D At at last a quiz where I know all the answers 8-) HVP 20pts ;D :P You may well have awarded yourself 20 Kipling Points, H/V/P, but surely you know how a quiz works ? You have to give the answers to win. Obviously not paying enough attention to the thing you started ! Anyway Jase has 3 additional points for correct answers to 9,11 and 14, and the BB Reaper is awarded 2pts for naming some more 'beer jugglers'. And there's plenty more of those ! We have a new leader ! Leaderboard: 1. Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 8pts 2. Milhouse 7pts 3. Josie 5pts 4. BB Reaper 2pts 5. Herr van Puebik 0pts 2,4,6,8,12,16,18 & 20 left to get....

One point for milko there; Milhouse: you can't have milko twice, and he says it's not so anyway - so will have to take one off. But you get the point back for exposing yourself as a beer juggler. ;D

Hmmmph............alright No 2 Spot from Puebik :D 4 Jel 12 Sav 16 Roo Hmmm I might have to Google the rest :-/ didn't know as much as I thought ::) At last, a proper entry from the Master ! Can give you three points for Jel, Sav and Roo, plus 1.5 bonus points as they all are three-lettered names (I make the rules !)Your answer to number 2 - though correct - has a slight inaccuracy, as you can see here : I haven't seen a cat on here for ages. Theres a reason for that He's called Spot von Puebik :P So marking you down half-a-point on that. 5 points in total. Leaderboard: 1. Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 8pts 2. Milhouse 7pts 3= Josie 5pts 3= Herr van Puebik 5pts 5. BB Reaper 2pts 6. Milko 1pt Still to go : Answers to 2, 6, 8, 18 and 20.

That's a bit mean........docking me points for using English :-/ Ich glaube die antwort fuer Nummer zwanzig ist Q :P Appeal successfully upheld, 0.5 added back on. And 20 is correct for Bernie, as you have so eloquently put it. We're multi-lingual on this forum ! Would have given the Colemanator the point for 20 in English had it been correct, but it wasn't, and as H/V/P has also pointed out, 19 has already gone. I think in the circumstances Mick ought to accrue some proper KP's for snitching, what do you say, Ian ? ;D Leaderboard: 1. Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 8pts 2. Milhouse 7pts 3. Herr van Puebik 6.5pts 4. Josie 5pts 5. BB Reaper 2pts 6. Milko 1pt 7. Colemanator 0pts 6,8 and some more 18's to get.

6) KT is correct, well done margo for 1pt. I will give the remaining answers now on this quiz now, so save y'all the bother of trawling back through page after page of Kipling Threads (which I've just had to do myself to find them !) 8) Sparky became 'pretty boy' for a brief moment in history due to a news item about an African Grey parrot who was so foul-mouthed (screeching out " show us your knickers" etc) that it caused its council house owner to be evicted: the parrot's name was Sparky. 18) Beer jugglers: points have been given out for Father Hall, Sparky, Milko, Milhouse and the Colemanator. And for : 12. Margo 18. Tommo Tommo Tommo Tommo Tommo Tommo and Margo (Margo's should earn extra points because it was at the infamous 666 moment!!!!! :o) Cheers, Josie, I think a million KPs should be awarded for the tennis ball incident. ;) The other famous jugglers you could have had were : Gary 'blowhole' Powell; Lolly; Veronica (during her dance routine); and the specialised 'cider juggler' Triplex. Quiz ended: 1. Massive2 aka 'Hammy' 8pts 2. Milhouse 7pts 3. Herr van Puebik 6.5pts 4. Josie 5pts 5. BB Reaper 2pts 6= Milko 1pt 6= margo 1pt 8. Colemanator 0pts
