Marcus beat Stuart Nigel lost to Jim Phil beat Grant Ian beat Dave Bob O lost to Bob H
I am sure Nigel will provide the scores and a bit more detail, Jim the only player to go off with enough and chances in all of the other games with the home team taking more of those than the visitors.. Enjoyable night in good company.
World Champion - 2014 Oxon Open Winner - 2014 Berkshire Open Winner - 2017 Guernsey Open Winner - 2019 AEBBA Mixed Pairs Winner - 2014 (with Colleen Park) Highest Break - 23,930 (Brighton League @ Albion Fishersgate 18/05/2016) Bucks Plate Winner - 2009 & 2010 (The ONLY player to ever "successfully" defend a Plate Competition!)
MSC 4 Bevy 1 Martin 1420 - 450 Bella. Not helped with Bella being roped in late and having a cold. Get betterer soon, Bella Dave 4100 - 3150 Ellis. Ellis got off to a brilliant start but Dave slowly pegged him back and the break at the end was the difference Vic 1270 - 6320 Doug. PB break of just over 1k for Vic but Doug's experience showed in the end. Phil 2300 - BP Ash. Pretty scrappy game with Ash missing the ball on over 800 and Phil getting the late break. Ash thinking of the summer handicap Colin 5380 - BP Kevin. Another summer handicap when the game was over. Unlucky Kevin. Not the easiest of tables but a good night. Thanks guys and gals
Marc Chipman 11,630* - 1,240 Stu Mepham Nigel Senior 6,470 - 11,450* Jim Millward Phil Osborne 11,920 - 1,160* Grant Tully Ian Lelliott 10,460* - 380 Dave Ingram Bob Osborne 2,020 - 9,800* Bob Hall
League goes wide open as we act as the spoilers to beat the Stag
In leg 1, I persisted with putting Chippers on first, especially as he was giving it large having gone off with 6k on Monday (even though his final score was 5,900?) But he paid me back with an opening 5k. Stu failed to get the balls back and killed it 2nd go!
Leg 2, we knew it would be me against Jim, we just werent sure when. I opted to go 2nd, Jim put his name down. Jim made no mistakes to 11k and I ran the rest of the time out. Marcus commenting that Jim hadn't beaten his score, Jim rebuffing with at least his was in one visit.... 1-1
Leg 3 Grant off early, and Phil was in ruthless mood, beating Grant and Marcus' score 2-1
Leg 4 Ian to break v Dave Ian off leaving first one up short Dave failed to capitalise and Ian made another 5k. There was still plenty of time for Dave, but a few further visits saw missed balls and whipped out shots. Ian finally got the balls back again to seal the win 3-1
Leg 5 Bob v Bob. Bob H playing with a new tip put on in Stu's busy workshop (it was his 3rd retipping of the night) was off early. Both then had visits but it was Bob H who prevailed with his new tip bedded in after around the 10 minute mark.
Good night as always with the Stag boys, league wide open now and they want us to do them a favour at the Duke of Wellie in a couple of weeks
Most serious forum user 2004/05 You know that look women get when they want sex? Me neither. "Spiderpig, spiderpig, does whatever spiderpig does. Can he swing from a web? No he can't he's just a pig. Look out here is the spiderpig" Homer Simpson, 2007
