Nothing went right for the Mont boys last night, the first 3 games could have gone either way. The last two were more decisive (when I got the break back of course) 🤨 Thanks for bringing the match forward 😉

Match played early as several of our opponents will be away on holiday on the scheduled date. Highlight of the night was definitely Steve's fantastic opening break of 10,890 in the 4th game to give Jim no chance. Enjoyable evening with a good spread of sarnies provided by Jim and Heather.

MSC 4 - Blue Anchor 1
Dave 2960 - 100 Joe Colin 1900 - BP Matt Pete 1190 - 1590 Jamie Martin 2540 - 1980 Rick Phil 6270 - 1290 Tony
Away teams seem to have a bit of trouble with our table. Joe was the first one knocking the white over 3500 and then again on 2+ leaving Dave the eventual winner Matt just couldn't find those elusive holes at all with the balls spinning out all the time. Colin made the most of it. Pete really should learn to slow the ball down as over hitting and miss hitting cost him this one but Jamie came out ahead Martin took his time and didn't let Rick on the table for long periods therefore not letting him for fill his potential Phil started well but Tony edged back until a 4k break towards the end ended this game.
Another good win for the MSC and the 2nd Top team bites the dust. Sorry for the late eats but our sarnie lady was ill and I didn't find out until later so the pizzas were rather late A lot of laughs going on and also a lot of encouragement from Matt. Thanks guys for a good evening.

Master Mariner B 2 New Oak B 3
*Paul 1760 Alan 6850 Paul off on just over 1k. Alan got break back and got 4k then added few more later
Lorraine 540 *Ash 0 Ash had the break a couple of times but the break shot eluded him tonight. He managed to get a 1k lead until the black peg got in he’s way with about a minute to go.
John 3260 *Jean BP I lost my opening break whipping the 100 on the split. I couldn’t get the break back but John did a couple of times
*Greg 900 Chelle 4940 Greg off early and Chelle got couple of breaks to take us to the decider
Mark 360 *Stuart 7150 3k opener for Stu and never looked in trouble after that with another break added later.
Kitchen out of order so landlord ordered 3 pizzas which went down well before we had to face the very wet and windy walk back to the car.
Congratulations to Lorraine who said it was her first ever win in the league.

To be fair, Jean had no luck whatsoever while I had more than my share. That was Lorraine's first win ever at any level.

New Oak A 4 - 1 Bevy A Phil Osborne 13,010 - 2,920* Bella Stoner Ian Lelliott 330 - 5,210* Ellis Candy Marc Chipman 6,930 - 850* Kevin Stoner Nigel Senior 8,130 - 6,160* Doug Dawson Bob Osborne 3,380 - 1,370* Ash Edwards New Oak win 4-1 against Bevy - think it might be 2 league wins in a row! In leg 1, one half of the Sussex doubles champs went on, where apparently Phil had taken Nige to the cleaners in the final the previous Saturday (Marc's words on match where surprisingly he has an opinion on given he wasnt there ). Well Phil was in mood for a bit more polishing as Bella was off early and a 10k break swept aside Bella. Leg 2, Ellis played well, had a few breaks to build a 4k lead. When Ian got them back he caught Ellis, but pegged them allowing Ellis in to capture a good scalp. 1-1 Leg 3 Chippers on next. Kev Stoner putting his name down to apply pressure and try and gain revenge for his loss on Monday night. But by the time I got back from the bar Kev was off with only a few hundred to his name, allowing Marcus to clean up with a nice 7k score 2-1 Leg 4 it had to be Dougie when Nige put his name down. Doug went off with 2k, Nige got them back but missed a 50-10 on 4k. Doug drew level but off on a one up with a white ball that was around 64% hanging over the hole. Allowed me to make a nice clear to add another 4k. Doug having time to get 2k more to complete a 14k game. 3-1 Leg 5 a few pegs and lost breaks in this one. Ash had plenty of chances but Bob pulled away with a 2k break at the end to win it 4-1 Good night with the Bevy A, Master Mariner for us next week to see if I can play any worse (if that is possible) than I played in the cup, and to see if Marc can keep any breaks he makes of 7k....
