Graham and Dec didn’t enter this comp and so I’m not sure why we were included in the draw? Neither of us can make it.

Jim Greensted can no longer play tomorrow due to illness. So Alan Mepham is now partnering me. Thank you to him for stepping in at short notice.

Congratulations to Phil Osborne and Bob Hall for winning the Sussex Doubles beating Nigel Senior and Chris Tupper in the Final. The plate was won by Mike Daw and James Whittle who beat Tony Jenner and Rick Cunningham. A high quality day saw multiple high breaks and scores with the six tables proving different tests but all very playable. Thank you to everyone involved on the day, and beforehand, in terms of setting up the tables and helping with the admin. Full scores are available of SCBBA website. Link to Results

Excellent days bar billiards with all tables holding good scores. Thank you to Stuart C for a well run day and to all the players that took part to make it a good day. Thanks to Jean for doing the raffle, Stuart Mepham and Alan Brackenridge for setting up the tables. Thanks to Stu M for picking up the van and transporting the tables and to him, Bob Hall, James Whittle, Alan and Jean Brackenridge for all their help Friday afternoon/evening for getting the tables and accessories in, set up and cleaning balls and tables.
Hopefully good day ahead tomorrow for the singles.

Congratulations to Bob Hall and Phil Osborne for winning the Sussex Pairs yesterday, also to Mike Daw and James Whittle for winning the Plate Competition. It was great to see Mike join the Sussex 20k Club yesterday with a superb break of 20,220, the relief on his face when he was able to touch up just before the bar dropped showed exactly how much it meant to him! Joe Oakley (20,090) and Nigel Senior (20,030) also both broke the 20k barrier with another highlight (or perhaps I should say "no-light"!) of the day was Stuart Carruthers making a break of 16,030 in the dark after the table light failed during one of the first games of the day! A huge thank you to Tony, Stuart C, Stuart M, Jean and Alan and everybody involved in organising the event, high quality tables that all offered slightly different challenges and a well run competition as always. Thank you also for the hospitality provided by the Club for hosting the event.

What a fantastic day and thank you to Phil for partnering me we got over the line just but just is enough. An excellent day with the tables testing everyone’s ability so well done on Alan and Stuart for setting up some great tables.
Thank you to jean Stuart and Matt for running the day and for Stuart getting the result on scbba so quickly.
Congratulations to Mike daw on 20k I am chuffed you have made it and you played well all day I’m glad you was slow to get into your stride in the first match lol.
Also well played Joe on getting the high break in the main competition looks like table 1 was a beauty
