If there is not enough ladies to make up a ladies select 7 they will also be eligible to play in the county 7 team

Update
Divison 1 will be made up of Sussex A, Sussex B, Kent, Oxon A. Bucks (unfortunately Northants have dropped out)
Division 2 we have at the moment Surrey, Berks, Sussex Ladies, Oxon B (hopefully), Michael from Yorks is trying to get a side and will update me.

Start time for both 11th and the 18th is 11am registration for 11.30am start
Finish time approx 7pm this weekend next week TBC as still working on number of teams.

I am sure everyone is aware of the sad news of the passing of our Queen Elizabeth II
In light of sporting events being cancelled this weekend the committee have discussed whether or not the county championships should take place this Sunday
We have decided to go ahead with the event as planned.
A minute's silence will take place before play commences.
See everyone Sunday

Unfortunately Yorkshire cant raise a team for Sunday 18th.
Division 2 Surrey, Berks, Sussex Ladies, Oxon B.
Jean has heard from no one about wanting to play in a county select side or ladies 7 so will have to assume we have only the 4 teams above.

Good day at Totteridge Club Sunday for the Division 2 County Championships. Series 1 - Heavy Favourites Surrey opened with an 11-3 win over Berkshire. Oxon B and Sussex Ladies fought out a 7-7 draw. Series 2 - Surrey took an 8-0 lead against the Sussex Ladies and ended up repeating their first result with an 11-3 win. Oxon B had a good 10-4 win over Berks to stay with a albeit slim chance of winning the title Series 3 - Sussex Ladies recorded a 9-5 win over Berks. Oxon B needed a 10-4 result against Surrey. They managed that but unfortunately it was a 10-4 loss, so Surrey took the title Two players managed 6 wins out of 6 - Dave Jones and Michael Wilson (both Surrey). An expecially good day for Dave as he had the highest average (9,107) and the days high break 10,580 County positions below... | Team | P | W | D | L | Score | Player Ave | Pts |

Thanks for the summary Nige and for sorting a good days billiards. Competitive throughout.
A special thanks to Matt for setting up the tables so well and for his help in taking them down at the end.
Well done to all who participated. The results make it look more comfortable than it was.
Well done Dave and a special pat on the back to Michael for his 6 wins in his first selection for the county A team.
