Cricketers 3, Windmill GG 2Dick Dewdney 1940, Steve King 4050 (wild miss by Steve on his first shot - maybe a kick - Dick a steady 1k in reply, all Steve after that)Mick Clack 6690, Johnny Haigh 1180 (useful 1k opener from Johnny, Clacky showing no signs of rust in his first game for 4 yrs. Good to see him playing again)Ricky Dewdney 7620, Graham Daniels 3680 (excellent 3k start from Graham, but Ricky in irresistible form) Brian Goodchild 4130, Paul Jobbins 5170 (1k start from Paul who thought he'd blown it when Boycie got settled onto the 50s, but won it with a well-timed 3k break and rather scary touch-up)Billy Hammond 3610, Clive Thompson 3260 (a 'wooden' performance from yours truly, but caught up with a late rally to leave 20 in it with the bar due. Billy able to mop up, to secure a gleeful win for the hosts.)
Always a pleasure to visit a good old country pub, and many thanks for a good selection of sandwiches, chunky chips and Hammond's patent pickled onions.

Roffey SC 4 Alfold SC 1
Pete 2030 Chaz 2040 Steve 5650 Kelly 720 Dick 3350 mike 890 John 12810 Dave 870 Twig 5030 Bill 1290
First up Pete and Chaz for our first frame of the season after last week's bye. Chaz off early but Pete not taking advantage the game got very scrappy. Plenty of goes each and the lead changing hands but Nnobody could get going. Pete eventually gained a small lead only to see Chaz make one last decisive break and nick the leg by 10.
Next game Kelly and Steve. Like frame one Kelly off early and Steve made 2k. Kelly not getting the run of the balls Steve making the most and a couple of steady breaks won the leg.
Mlike and Dick and same scenario as previous. Dick kept chipping away with small breaks and with Mlike unable to get the balls back ran out eventual winner.
Game 4 and you've guessed it Dave off and I cleared the balls and break back. 1500 and off. A few More shots each and I got them back again 6k break and touch. With Dave struggling a bit ,one last Chance I played to the bar with 4k.
Last but not least Twig and Bill. Bill off early and Twig head down made 2k break. The top then got Bbogged down and plenty of shots each. Twig eventually making another steady break sealed the win.
A lovely evening with the Alfold gang and a good result for us. Thanks to the Girls for a lovely Chilli. Great to see Twig back playing with us. Taken back running the show as well.

Railway 1 Murky Duck 4 Grant 1220 Mick 1530 Stuart 1570 Colin 1190 Dave 1740 Porge 1930 Lee 240 Steve 870 Grant (4 pr) 1250 Ding 2270 Game 1. Nip and tuck to the bar, Mick just clinched it. Game 2. As above, Pops coming good at the end. Game 3. As Game 1, last minute charge from Porge. Game 4. Steve went off like a man possessed, rattled up 1700 on his opener. Sadly miscued later and wiped it. Nothing going for Lee. Game 5. 800 opener from Ding proved uncatchable for Grant, playing under the 4 player rule. Table slightly awkward tonight made for some interesting games, most of which could have gone either way. A fun evening spent with old mates capped off with an extensive spread of sandwiches courtesy of Nathan.
