Well I'll have a go at what is a weak subject to me. Now if you had shown me some Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers or Cruisers that would be different as my old man was in the Royal Navy (Fleet Air Arm) !
1) is a U.S Sherman Tank, with 75mm or 76mm medium velocity general purpose gun and carrying 90 rounds of ammunition.
I think 9) is a German Panzer and 6) is a Polish Vickers.
Is 8) a British Centurion with 105mm rifled gun ?

Is 9) a Russian T-34 ? ......which outgunned and outmanoevred the Germans on the eastern front. The first variant was armed with a 76mm gun but this was replaced by an 85mm gun in late 1943.

Is 1 the british variant of the M4 Sherman Medium Tank, called the Sherman Firefly? Can't be the Firefly(M-4 A-4), as that had a 76.2mm (17-pounder) gun. I'll plump for the Jumbo. Is 7) a Cromwell ?

Is 1 the british variant of the M4 Sherman Medium Tank, called the Sherman Firefly? Sir Jock - Correct for 0.5 Can't be the Firefly(M-4 A-4), as that had a 76.2mm (17-pounder) gun. Tommo - I was being generous with your marking! We are only talking about .2mm - didn't think that mattered between team mates - but maybe size does matter!!!! ;) Also Tommo - 9 & 7 - both no.

Call me tenacious, durable, glutton for punishment, willing to hold myself up for ridicule: tommo never knows when he's beaten. ::)
I'll go : 2) German Panzer Series III with 37mm gun; 7) (rather smaller) German Panzer Series II with 20mm gun; and - 10) (rather larger) German Panzer Series IV with 75mm gun. Also 4) American Pershing Tank but not sure if it's the medium 76mm or the larger 90mm armament.

No 1 I will correct myself on, it's the British Medium M4 Sherman Firefly, 76.2 mm Gun, MG 7.62 mm.
No 2 is the Japanese Type97 Chi-Ha Kai (ShinHoTo-ChiHa), armed with Type1 47mm Gun x1, Type97 7.7mm MG x2
Is no 3 the Canadian Cruiser Tank Mk.I Ram, 40 mm Gun.
I think that no 4 is the Soviet Unions SU-100. 100 mm Antitank gun.
No 5 is maybe the Australian Sentinel, armed with one 40mm 2 pounder anti-tank gun, two Vickers machine guns, one anti aircraft Bren LMG, one Thompson SMG, believe it or not!
No 6 is the Czech Lahky tank Adamov AH 43, with 47mm Gun, 2 x MG 7.92 mm.
i think no 7 is Panzerkampfwagen 38(t), German, 37 mm Gun, 2 x MG 7.92 mm.
No 8 is the British Centurion our main battle tank, 105 mm Gun, 2 x MG 7.62 mm, MG 12.7 mm.
Is no 9 another Sherman, this time the medium M4 105, USA, 105mm gun + MG.
If not then is it the Swedish Landsverk 10 (Strv m/31), 37 mm Gun, 2 x MG 6.5 mm.
Can't get no 10 at all me is afraid, will keep at it though.

I'm sure you've scored heavily there, Winkle, and welcome to the Forum by the way.
But you may have to be patient and wait a few days for your points as I believe Josie (who compiled the quiz) is on holiday at the moment. ;)
