Said farewell to John yesterday in a suitably rock'n'roll themed ceremony (John played guitar in a band).

Have dug out an old clipping of a Railway v Hornbrook match from 1985/86 (John is third from the left):


Shocked to find myself the only survivor from that team (Charlie Francis, John, Steve Peacock, Ian King and Bill Phillips all sadly no longer with us, as also the case with the two Rays (Burchell and King) from the Hornbrook.
