Last game of 1922 at a very customer lonely Mucky Duck. A great night if a bit eventful on the top also my second consecutive night in a 4 man team (Must be some sort of record and escaped playing twice) Here we go scores on the doors !!
Mick 1280 Pete F 1080 Porge 1300 Twig 3770 Steve 1550 John 1130 Ding 2240 Dick 1950 No 5th player for either side leg shared.
Game 1 Mick and Pete. Pete off break once, break missed off table. A right eventful first leg with mick scraping up to 4 figures. Goes galore pegs galore balls missed It had everything. With the bar due nothing in it but mick made one last few and nicked it
Next up Porge and Twig. Twig a few to start and Porge struggling with the top was the pattern of this leg. Twig adding small breaks bit by bit built up a lead. Porge eventually got them back but couldn't sort it out 1-1
Third and yours truly and Steve. I thought I had sussed it watching carefully but once on oh dear. Break down twice next shot missed both (nightmare how did that happen). Then followed a stream of goes each before Steve got them back and was going ok when he left one up the middle. Missed the ball but left it dead centre as well. Off the cush I gave them a whack cleared them all two flew down the other ball smack behind the 10. Time running out Steve made a few at the death .1-2
Last but not least Ding and Dick and yet another close one. Plenty of goes and pegs but eventually both players making some small breaks. The game got closer and closer to the bar. Last ball leg and a couple of goes each and Ding sunk it.
3.5 - 1.5 to the Duck.
A lovely evening with our friends where they were bemused and upset as us the way the table played Twig scoring half our total points and 6 scores under 2k. Thank god its Christmas as the song goes!!

Make that 2022 only a century out 🤣 Next off, John's Time Travel machine takes him back to 1822 where he witnesses Brazil's independence from Portugal!
