Windmill GG 5 Roffey CC 0 With Mucky Duck sitting out the week and strong teams Cricketers and RSSC playing each other, it was essential not to waste the opportunity and young Michael got us off to the best possible start..........
Michael 6260, Nobby 5600 (A battle royal this one, Nobby off at 500, Michael replying with 4k+. Nobby galvanised into action, a superb 4800 put him a thousand ahead. Michael balls back quickly and lodged a winning break. Well played to both players.) Paul 6260, JT 1970 - This was the theme for the remainder of games, with the visitors making the early running only for the home player to seize control Johnny 4760, Sandsey 2900 - Cries of "Acieed" as JH cleared the balls the first time Graham "Clive's brother" (according to Nobby) 9070, Dillon 1430 - Jemima unable to replicate her super recent form on the night. Steve 5820, Noggs BP - Steve's 4th game on the table in 2 weeks and in no mood to let this one slip.

Hi All Rssc 1 Cricketers 4
John 3530 Bill 4420 Twig 2780 Brian 4730 Moose 4970 Dick 2570 Steve 4240 Ricky 7630 Pete 4320 Mick 4470
First up yours truly and Bill. Billy off with the break and made a 1500 start. A few awkward balls on the Table made things difficult but I did eventually get them back but off with the same as bill. For the next 10 mins or so bill played really well and gained a good lead.i managed to get them back late and going Like a train all but caught up but a missed split cooked it.
Twig and Brian next and a pretty even game for a while. Brian stringing breaks together regularly made The best of his way home. Twig like me rallying all to late 0-2.
Third on Dick and Moose .Dick off early and Moose in with a good chance. 2k break for a start and with Dick really struggling to get to grips with the top Moose added some more and in the end ran out a good Winner.
Next up Ricky and Steve, ( Back from illness and holiday ). Surprisingly Rick off early but Sniffer couldn't Take advantage. Eventually Ricky got the balls back and a steady 4k put him in charge. Steve next to get them Back and set off for Rick's score . Going along nicely very unlucky to break down on 3k. Ricky time for one Last careful break and frame won. 1-3
Last but not least Pete and Mick and a cracking last leg. Both players playing well and a pretty level Game. Pete eventually got the lead and was looking the winner all over. One slip on the 50 let Clacky in Right at the death and with bar down Mick scrapef over the line to pick Pete's pocket.
A bit of a real setback tonight 1-4 certainly not reflecting how the games went. A lovely evening with the Cricks lads. No excuses but the new top just needs a few tweaks and it will be ok.
Onward and upward cup next week let's hope for better fortunes.
