Blue Anchor 1-4 Stags Head C Tough night for the league leaders with the visitors playing extremely well **Rick Cunningham 4250 - 9680 Stuart Mepham - Unfortunately Rick off second split, Stu got them straight back and made an excellent 9k and touch. One moment of alarm as he hit a fat split and wobbled the peg next shot, never seen him do that before Rick finished off Chris Cox 420 - 12,600 Grant Tully** - Excellent 9k and touch from GT, with no alarms, mixture of 10 and 100 splits but never looked like missing. No chance for Chris Matthew Knight 4330 - 11,700 Kevin Hall** - Awesome 11k and touch from Kev, never missing a 100 split. Heart in mouth time when the leg was dead and buried though as a ball off the back cushion hurried back towards the 200, so awesome had Kev been that it dropped without touching the sides Was a sigh of relief though. I finished off With frame difference still a possible deciding factor, went more defensive than usual next **Joe Oakley 10,010 - 3670 Jim Millward - really shakey start from Joe as he left one split short and a whipped 10 split making things awkward but he recovered very well to make 9k and touch, to get us on the board. Jim finished off Tony Jenner 7120 - 7290 Bob Hall** - most competitive leg of the night, Bob started well but was off on 6k, Tony got them straight back, playing well, but a fat split and off on 4.5k, first to get them back and thought that was it but left a ball awkward after a dodgy split, good shot to hit it but off. Bob couldn't seal the deal either but nosed in front just enough to make the last ball redundant Excellent performance by the visitors, thoroughly deserved their win. Match played in very good spirit, with lots of banter and mickey-taking. Still very interesting at the top of the table

Bit late with this results - lets hope we are not deducted points New Oak A 5 - 0 Caxton 0 Nigel Senior 4,560 - 650* Dayle Ledbury Ian Lelliott 10,670 - 1,410* Paul Bramhall Bob Osborne 7,260- 1'540* Peter Gwilliam Phil Osborne 7,650 - 120* Sean Oxley Marc Chipman 10,190 - 870* Greg Walsh In leg 1, Dayle getting scores but losing them. Nige had 2 visits on the break making a 2k break each time 1-0 Leg 2, Ian in control early and made his 10k score over a couple of breaks 2-0 Leg 3 Bob solid enough to secure the win 3-0 Leg 4 The mighty Phil made it 4, but newcomer Sean should have scored more but kept losing breaks. 4-0 Leg 5 and onto to Chippers...no mercy from him as he stuck 10k past poor Greg....5-0 A night of good banter with the Caxton who certainly play the game with good spirit. Lost breaks being their biggest problem and they could have certainly made the scores closer if they can bank their breaks
