This will be a round robin event. Two groups of 3 played over 2 legs with the winner of each group playing the final. The group points will be 0.2 per leg and 1.1 for the aggregate as per the Sussex rules. Most points to decide group winner. In the event of a tie the placings shall be decided by the head to head results, if still a draw it will then be aggregate score. Remember it is ladies to break first and lady to follow in all games.
Group One
Jean Brackenridge/Matt Knight Laura Cole/Martin Cole Krystal Beck/Chris Cox
Group Two
Bella Stoner/Dave Ingram Michelle Baden/Nigel Senior Ros Appleby/Joe Oakley
Event to start when Ladies inter league finishes
Group Games 3 x 40 minutes = 120 minutes Final 40 minutes, therefore total time 160 minutes.

Hi Tony,
Great to see 6 pairs in this event.
Should the group points be 0.2 per leg and 1.1 for the aggregate as per the Sussex Masters groups as that is the Sussex rules.
Problem with awarding a point per leg is that you might beat both your opponents on aggregate but only score 2 points, and one other pair will end up on 3 points because they have won their other match 2-0. Seems wrong to me that you could be unbeaten in your group and be eliminated.

Group A

Jean and Matt 3.7 points Sandra and Kev 1.9 points Krystal and Chris 1.5 points Laura and Martin 1.5 points
Group B
Bella and Dave 5420 and 2350 v Michelle and Nigel 7950 and 11530 = 19490 Ros and Joe 12180 and 11480 = 23660 v Lorraine and Bob 0 and 500 = 500 Lorraine and Bob 9540 and 570 = 10110 v Bella and Dave 1100 and 9169 = 10260 Michelle and Nigel 14470 and 8040 = 23510 v Ros and Joe 410 and 1160 = 1570 Bella and Dave 4000 and 5170 - 9170 v Ros and Joe 3890 and 1810 = 5700 Lorraine and Bob 230 and 580 = 890 v Michelle and Nigel 4800 and 8360 = 13160
Michelle and Nigel 4.5 points Bella and Dave 2.8 points Ros and Joe 1.5 points Lorraine and Bob 0.2 points
Semi Finals
Jean and Matt 12590 and 2860 v Bella and Dave 210 and 3270 = 3480
Kev and Sandra 1010 and 1390 = 2400 v Michelle and Nigel 12590 and 4490 = 17080
Both semi finals conceded during the 2nd frame
Final
Jean and Matt 2670 and 10180 = 12850 v Michelle and Nigel 10400 and 4170 = 14530
Jeans break in leg one 2k + and Nigel first to get them back and gave himself and Michelle a good lead. Michelle opened with a good 4170 break, Jean got the balls straight back and played the table out with 10180 break but just ran out of time.
Well done to Nigel and Chelle on their victory and commiserations to Jean and Matt despite a great effort from Jean.
Thanks to all the players who took part and ensured we kept the mixed doubles alive, a good evening with some great bar billiards,

Thanks to TJ for running the competition, and what a final, excellent break from Nigel, then the ladies took over with a very good opener from Michelle and a quite superb effort from Jean trying to chase down. Needs to work on her speed though Of course I just sat and watched
