John Hanley (630,3250*) 3880 - 9720 (7570*,2150) Max Burt
Sadly I wasn't there to see it but Max got his Reg Stone campaign underway in fine form, compiling a personal high-break of 6210 in the opening leg. Congratulations to Max!

I'm reliably informed that Max has made his first bar billiards final after beating Karen tonight (game had to be rearranged). I would have popped over - but I didn't know Max was playing so was napping instead. It's a hard life.
Anyway... Max's words: "First leg, Karen made a 1.5k break, the balls went messy and none of us got back onto the break the whole leg. Was a proper struggle!" "Second, I broke off with a 7k break." "And that was it."
So congratulations to Max. April is now exam time for him, so he won't be playing again until the Reg Stone final in May.

Max beat Baz.
An excellent maiden season from Max was capped off with the Reg Stone title. He broke down on a k in leg one from the break, but after a bit of a ding dong he got the balls back and essentially ran the rest of the time out for 6k. I had shouted "nothing silly" on multiple occasions, Max's response after "yeh I heard you but it was sat perfectly for the split so I just played it". Nothing like a bit of confidence even though he did almost take the peg out when tapping up!! Leg two was a friendly affair, Max had done enough in leg 1 - well done Max.
