Hassocks A 4-1 Plough
Dave J 1410-3350 Chase Andy 4790-2530 Dave K Barry 6680-3090 Richard Terry 7660-2100 Ric Derek 4020-1050 Jan
Scrappy first game, with Chase taking the win. Slow and steady Andy levelled the score, keeping Dave off the table. Richard started well. I took the lead. Richard pegged his 2nd visit, and I made sure. Terry came off early but was first to get break back and sealed the win. Wonderful to see Jan back on the table. Del only taking the game late on.
Table wasn’t spot on , but everyone had a chance. Usual excellent spread of hot food from Dom.
HASSOCKS A WIN LEAGUE !!!!!
( oh , and Del tops the player list 👍)

Congratulations to the Hassocks, who played better than us on the night, and congratulations also to whoever came runners-up.
And thanks Baz for the kind words.

BHCC 3 HHSC 2
A night of drama & what if's
Ros Appleby 1700 Ron Sheridan 4830 Neil Higgins 3910 Graham Sparksman 3800 Paul Barnett 6260 Paul Jobbins 6200 Trevor Appleby 1980 Andy Guy 1930 Paul Moyes Robb 1790 Richard Wooton 3140
A good start from Ron, Neil & Graham's game went to the last few balls with Neil clearing up. Paul J got off to a determined start of 6K & Paul B set about the chase down which he did drawing almost level again it came down to the last few balls but it was Paul B who won by just 60. Trevor & Andy had an up & down game with Trevor potting the red on the 2nd attempt to win by 50 pts and the match win. Richard grabbed the final leg.
Well played to BHCC & on taking the runners up slot.
Thanks to Ros for the food.

Nomads 4, Millers 1
The final match of the season was played on Wednesday night. The result meant that the home side (somehow) managed to crawl it's way off the bottom of the table and consign the Millers to the wooden spoon. But a very enjoyable night of billiards with Gavin and his team.

So the last week provided one more twist. With the top 2 fighting it out & the bottom 2 meeting in the last match of the season The Millers were in front with 2 match wins but a 4-1 win for The Nomads put them 1 point ahead putting Millers in the wooden spoon place. It's almost as if the Fixtures Secretary has some inside info.
