With the imminent demise of Horsham League, is it time to change Mid Sussex's playing night to to a Tuesday? At the moment, there are four other leagues in Sussex that all play on a Wednesday: Billingshurst, Brighton, Hastings and West Sussex. With Horsham gone, there's only Littlehampton in Sussex playing on a Tuesday and Redhill in Surrey. Worthing and Lewes both have their respective nights to themselves (Thursday, Monday) One might have expected that some of the remaining Horsham teams or players would play in Mid Sussex, but they either already play in Billingshurst League or have players that play in Billingshurst. In order not to miss the deadline for this year's AGM, I've submitted this as a rule change, but if there are too many problems or objections then I will probably withdraw it. The most obvious problem is that the Plough Plumpton were closing on Tuesdays - is this still the case? Throwing this out there for discussion!

Also Redhill play Tuesdays and sure that some of the Horsham players also play Redhill so moving to Tuesday would exclude them

According to Google The Plough is closed on Tuesdays.
Having spoken to quite a few players at the presentation evening, most have already got plans of where they're playing in the future. Also a lot don't want to play 2 night's which is why Horsham struggled, those that do are already playing elsewhere ie Redhill & Billingshurst. Most of our team Roffey CC play in Mid Sussex & apart from Paul wouldn't play in Billingshurst due to the travelling. As far as I know if it hasn't already the table will be removed from the Norfolk Arms.
I think this would be met with resistance from a lot of MS players, from experience of the proposed Horsham/Billingshurst merger people don't like that sort of change.

I believe that the potential lose of existing Mid-Sussex players that already have non-barbilliards commitments on a Tuesday would far exceed any potential gain from Horsham players that would travel, and think it unwise to even risk such loses as that could finish MSBBL. The AGM will decide.
