So sorry to hear this, another stalwart gone.
Did a lot for bar billiards in his day, especially for AEBBA.
My sympathies are with you.

This is such sad and shocking news. Had many happy inter area evenings with Tony, a lovely chap. Sending our love to you all in Portsmouth, you must be devastated.

So sad news. Tony was a lovely bloke.
I will never forget the trip back from Guernsey, where I shared a very long, cosy trip with Tony in the back of your car Chrissie, watching Mark Williams win the World snooker on my phone.

Poor Tony. What a lovely chap he was and it is a great shock to hear of his passing. A mainstay of the Portsmouth Inter Area team and a great supporter of bar billiards. He was instrumental, with Brian Daniels, in “rescuing” the National tables from the BB Ltd sell off before it became too great a job.
My condolences to his family and to his many friends in Pompey bar billiards. RIP Tony.

This is such horrible news. Had some great laughs with Tony over the years, we will always remember the China Red in Guernsey with him, Chris & Chris. I know this will hit them hard as they were so close. Our condolences go out to all of you. RIP Tony x

It seems the nicest persons are being taken from us. Tony was always jolly, never had a bad word to say about anyone. I shall miss our chats about table movements, and shall remember with fondness the 'six sausage challenge" at the Hogue Du Pommier breakfast bar. He worked so hard with Brian when they took on the championship set of tables for a couple of years. A great player too, made it to the Bucks Open final as recently as 2019. A huge loss to Portsmouth/Hants as has been said .... condolences to his family and bar billiards colleagues.

Shared some drinks and stories a real character we will miss you Tony. My condolences to all family and friends. RIP Tony

Would have hoped to be with old friends and seen Tony off, but am going under the knife that day.
Apologies from me.

Lovely simple service for Tony today, plenty of ex Pompey players there, apart from Dennis C and daughter Kady and myself, that was it from the BB fraternity. Considering how popular and well liked Tony was, that was very disappointing. Well done to Chrissie for saying some nice and funny things from his past. Lovely spread of food, plenty to go round , well done Morrisons lol
