Very good night in excellent company and a great win for us. Probably a surprisingly scoreline but we played very well on a good top that Stuart and Jim set up nicely. Thanks to Kev Stoner for making the arrangements with the pub and we were surprised to receive 3 trays of very nice sandwiches from The Bevy, thanks to Bob for the lift back to town

Nearly all of the matches were really close so the handicaps were about right and everyone had their chances.
Neither Steve or Dover helped their win by both knocking over the black peg but Martin and Phil just couldn't get it together.
Colin started the last match brightly but Nigel tripped over and Colin and Mick never really looked back.
Thanks to the Caxton for a brilliant night of banter and laughter and to the New Oak for supplying the sandwiches.

Well done to the Bevvy on taking the Summer League last night, well deserved and good use of the handicaps on a table that was a tad tricky. Thank you to the Caxton for hosting us and the spread of food that was laid on. Plenty of supporters on the night and loads of friendly banter.

Well done to Kev and his team on winning their first summer league and thwarting our quest to retain the title. It was a bit of lottery but still great fun with plenty of loud banter and utterly inept "advice" from those watching. Always nice to see a team that doesn't moan about the handicaps win!
