Chris Saville for the over 60's (sorry but the weather will need to be reasonable as will be on the train/push bike.)
I note four members of the England team in the over 50's. As seniors tournaments should be for for seniors and not the cream IMHO, perhaps AEBBA should consider upping the age limits or starting an over 70's nowadays? For info an additional competition does not require a rule change, upping the age limits requires a proposition/seconder.

I have moved the discussion posts to a new thread as this was originally for entries to the above competitions and those wishing to enter may get lost among the discussion posts. I have made it a general thread for age group competitions

An excellent day of bar billiards, very well run by Nigel. The Over 50s was a repeat of last year's final but, in an absolute thriller, Curt Driver avenged his defeat at the hands of Matthew Knight to regain the title by just 500 points! With the finishing line in sight Curt knocked a one-up behind but I could not get them back and that was it. Well done to Curt on his win. In the semi-finals Curt defeated (lucky loser/runner up) Dino Clark, who played very well all day. The other losing semi-finalist was Jason Neal (special thanks to Jason for all his hard work in taking the tables down at the end of the day)
In the Over 60s well done to John Slee on winning his first title, beating Ernie Jordan in the final, Ernie reaching his second final in a row, but, sadly for him runner-up again. Both players played very well all day, with John also winning his Over 50s group. Lovely to see John win his first title, as he is a great supporter of our game and plays in pretty much all the events, always an extremely tough opponent.
Thanks to Nigel for all his hard work, managing to run 4 competitions on one day is no mean feat. Thanks to Matt Jones and Cliff Slade for providing such high quality tables all providing different tests, hope everyone had a good day

What a great day of Bar Billiards was had at totteridge on Sunday and on a personal note I was chuffed to bits winning the aebba over 60's title. All my comiserations Go out to my good friend Ernie. It was a close one that either of us could have won. Proud to be the first Surrey name on the cup. Thanks as said many times to Matt and Cliff setting such lovely tables up, to Matt and Nige running the day like clockwork as usual and to all the staff at the club. Its a superb venue. Thanks Matt for your kind words it's certainly taken me a few years and pints to achieve such a title. Don't think I've ever played so well and consistent over a day For a while, let's hope it keeps going for Jersey.
Sleezy.
