With 7 in the All England Singles I think it would be preferable that we play a round robin with each player getting 6 games.
If it was to run like this, it would not really be possible for these players to participate in one of the age related competitions that they have entered. Keeping players off the same tables plus the possibility of have to win over 10 double leg matches a bit out of the question
So this affects Gerry, Cliff, Simon and Dave.
Please let me know if this affects your decision to play in the All England singles or if ok with the round robin.
The ladies event should be ok in that they can enter but will probably like last year where they are put in the over 50s if they do want to do both.
Thanks
Nigel

I'll play in only the AE singles if required.

I'd prefer to play in both, but if its makes it easier for me just to play in the individuals, then that's fine Nigel.

An excellent day of bar billiards, very well run by Nigel. Well done to Mark Trafford on winning the All England Mens Singles in a very close competion. Mark, Nigel Senior and Gerry Fitzjohn all won 5 matches but Mark prevailed on aggregate scoring approximately 5k more than Nigel, who played extremely well after a slow start and made the highest break of the day, that being 22k. Well done to Gerry too who was making his first appearance in the All England Mens Singles and played very well, including a comprehensive defeat of Mark in their last match Similar to last year the All England Ladies Singles was also extremely close. Well done to Dawn Jordan who won the title on aggregate after both her and Denise Wills had won 2 of their matches. Dawn won by approximately 10k over Denise, but Dawn was watching closely the result of the match between Denise and Jean Brackenridge (well done to Jean on day's high break of 9k) as Jean would have pinched the title if victorious, but despite getting in front close to the end, Denise made a 3k break to overhaul Jean's score and give Dawn the title. Dawn definitely breathed a sigh relief as she was outplayed by Pauline Withey in her last match, but she had played extremely well in her first two matches so deserved the win. Well done to all four ladies on another excellent competition Thank you to Matt Jones and Cliff Slade for all their hard work in getting the tables set up, all excellent but providing different tests. Also, thanks to those who stayed behind to take them down, I hope Traff's back is holding up after his monumental effort to unscrew one leg

Very pleased to have won this title last weekend. Couple of big scores in my 4th & 5th matches helped! Good day and all close in the end, which is good for both competitions. Thanks to Nigel, Matt, Matt, Cliff for the day. My appreciation to Matt Knight looking after my welfare, i pleased to report that i am now recovered from my bad back after unscrewing TWO legs
