Table very sluggish tonight even after several irons
Mike D 1450 v 2540 Tim S - After Tim’s initial break, neither player got the balls back KT 9300 v 1250. Mick M- Mick off early, I had three breaks for my score Dave. 8080 v 1540 Reverend - Colin also off early, couple of breaks for Dave Tupps 3200 v 1600 Phil - Vintage Tupper time tonight. Report a bit late but New Oak fall over the line with a 3-2 win over the Bevy
New Oak A 3 - 2 Bevy
Nigel Senior 10,750 - 2,280* Ash Edwards Ian Lelliott 11,310 - 1,370* Kevin Stoner Bob Osborne 1,290 - 4,870* Doug Dawson Marc Chipman 2,300 - 6,080* Brian Muggeridge Phil Osborne 3,890 - 540* Liam Barber
In leg 1, Nige boldly puts name down. Ash takes him on and looked like a bar billiards player getting to 2k with the aid of a 50-100 split. Nige ruthless in reply, balls straight back and enough in one visit 1-0
Leg 2, Kev Stoner off to see the red windows in Amsterdam next week, must have had that on his mind as broke off with next to nothing. Ian no mercy and wins first go 2-0 and cruising
Leg 3 Doug not many to start with but Bob had no luck trying to get balls back. Doug built a good lead and although Bob had one chance at the end the Bevy get one back 2-1
Leg 4 Marc again bemoaning about the bus and being chucked under it. And also moaning that Southgate should be sacked for not picking Lewis Dunk despite England beating European Champions Italy 3-1 and qualifying with 2 games to spare. This must have played on Chippers mind as despite getting chances he couldnt capitalise and Brian levelled the match with a 6k score 2-2
Leg 5 Dependable Phil to take on Liam in the decider. Phil struggled to settle but nursed his lead throughout and sealed the victory for the New Oak 3-2
Competitive match and good night with the Bevy, may be interesting when we play them up there.
