A great day well organised, tables good and some great bar billiards although I slipped away early due to family circumstances. Thank you to all that organised the Open and the Triples on the Saturday, know you all worked hard for 2 weekends running and how much goes into getting these events organised and run. Club a great venue

I will echo the thoughts of others and say thank you to all involved with organising and running the Open and to Emsworth Club for hosting us all yesterday, some very good tables, exciting games and plenty of good company along the way. Congratulations to KT on winning the competition, a huge well done to Kevin Charlton for reaching the final (and for helping me to win the Tipsters competition for this event! ) in his local open and Martin Cole for winning the high break award with 24k+ in his first round game against Mark James. Congratulations also to Gerry Fitzjohn on winning the Plate and Martin Smith for reaching the final of that.

Hi All,
To add my personnel thanks to all who entered and turned up to support the events on both days.
Congratulations to Kevin Tunstall on retaining his West Sussex title also to massive well done To Kevin Charlton on not reaching the final but even after a few nervous moments to get the balls and then hit a 12,120 break in a first ever open final was excellent to watch.
Sadly for Mr Charlton having KT to follow with a very well paced 16,950 break proving why many do see him as the Goat.
Also Congrats to Gerry on winning winning the plate final vs Martin Smith.
Apologies to those who did have a long wait between games at times due to individual's pulling out through illness and other reasons.
Thanks to Steph and Krystal for their help with the admin especially later in the day when myself Joe and Martin where all still playing and to Nigel for help with the format.
if anyone has any feedback positive or negative on things to improve please do let myself Martin Cole and Joe Oakley know.
We hope to see you all again next year.

Just to add to my earlier offering ........ Melissa Beach deserves credit for reaching the Last Sixteen - the only lady left at this stage. And 7 Sussex players in the last 8 was impressive, after 3 Surrey Daves had bombed out the round before: David Jones, D.C. and Gary (Dave for the day) Powell.

Many thanks to Chris, Joe and Martin for a superb run event.
If anyone has found a cue.... I managed to leave mine behind along with my raffle prize and the 4 cans of thatchers I'd bought of Traff......
Cheers, Jon.

Hi Chris, Having delays to games because of withdrawals on the day is something which cannot be helped, so i dont think anyone can blame the organisers for that! Having a 5hr wait to play my first game was certainly not ideal! The only feedback i would give is to look at start times for people who are travelling from other counties. There were people from Oxford & Kent (2 hr drives) on in the first series but Sussex/Surrey players playing each other at 12.15. Well done to the organisers for the day, i know how much hard work that goes into running tournaments! To echo a comment from someone else, i can confirm that i was indeed getting worried about how well Melissa Beach was playing against me in the Last 16 match! She was certainly playing the table a lot better than i was on the break on a tricky table! I was just fortunate enough to have got the break back a few times in the first leg! Certainly one to look out for in the future.......
