Rcc 3 Rssc A 2
John 2630 Steve 1020 Tony 2500 Twig 3210 Jim 4370 John 1100 Dave 4490 Pete 2640 Mick nil Moose 6040
First up Jt and Sniffer and Steve on first. Unfortunately Steve left the balls up first shot ( not for the first time on the cricket club). Plenty of Goes each before John got them back. Just getting going and John was off. The game got all bogged down at the top ,not easy. Steve getting Frustrated with nothing going John cleared up and took the frame.
Game 2 Twig and Tony. Twig on and off and both players struggling. Each player making small breaks Tony took the lead but Twig fought back To level. Plenty more goes and pegs with the top playing tricky Twig made one last telling break 1-1.
Third up yours truly and Jim (my doubles buddy) again. On first underhit 2nd break shot and left red a bit short. Next simple pot caught roll whip And off. A few shots down and I nicked a lead but still struggling. Jim eventually getting them back and riding his luck somehow made 2k. Still Trying not to lose my composure kept getting to 1 ball but it wouldn't drop. Jim balls back again ran out a deserved winner.
Sandsy and Pete up next and you've guessed it Pete on Pete Off. In retrospect both players made some chances and scores. Dave playing well Got a good advantage which he never relinquished.
Last but not least Moose and Fairsy, (not Micks finest position). Moose surprisingly off with 2k (yippee at long last) but off at least holding them. Mick not having his best game thinking I'd rather be watching his beloved Liverpool on the tele. Moose playing best leg of the night salvaged a Bit of pride for us.
A good night as always with jt and the gang. Loads of laughs and friendly banter. Junkie shouting from the Bar "there's nothing wrong with my table" A few might question that. A deserved win for rcc weeks done.
