It's with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that Richard sadly passed away this morning after a very short battle with cancer. We saw him a couple of weeks ago and he was very determined to beat it, but sadly it was just too aggressive. We will miss him terribly and we are all heartbroken.
Our love goes to Andrew, Tim & Jas x

That is sad news, Richard was always a gentleman and good company whenever I saw him. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. RIP Richard.

Thanks Dawn I am absolutely stunned and upset at your sad news about the passing of Richard. What a lovely man.I only had a good chat and shared some laughs with him at totteridge on over 50/60 day. End of the day helping all he could. I played Richard a good few times and had some lovely games where he always smiled and laughed Always happy. My condolences to all family and friends you will be sadly missed. R.i.p. Richard

Yes a lovely chap, had to get Dawn to send me a picture to make sure I had the right guy after several years.
We often met in pubs in the Channel Isles and shared time on the table.
I'm saddened by yet another loss of a goodun and my sympathies to his friends and family.
