Railway 4 Plough 1
Colin 1680 Dave 2760 Grant 1660 Steve 1330 Dave 2660 Mark 760 Scott 2000 Brian 200 Colin 1290 Keith 730
Game 1: Dave took an early lead which proved decisive. Game 2: Close game, decided in Grant's favour after the bar. Game 3: Mark sadly lost way more than he kept, otherwise would have been close. Bloody pegs! Game 4: Another close one. Chelsea needed the 200 to win, unfortunately found the Black peg. Game 5: Despite some cracking shots from Noggs it was not to be.
We had a message from Nathan to say that somebody had knocked into the table and a leg had fallen off but not to worry as he had refitted it and levelled the table. To be fair, it wasn't far off. It was not however as high scoring as usual. It was however an enjoyable evening with the League 'Newbies' (Mostly old mates.)
Thanks Nathan for the spread of sandwiches.

Rssc A 1 Winmill GG 4
Pete 260 Michael 15300 (12400 break) Twig 1250 Mick 3560 John 7470 Graham 450 Steve 4680 Clive 7490 Moose 2790 Paul 6280
First up Pete and Michael. Red bandana secured cue assembled youngster took confidently to the table. Some good opening stuff and a grand a Minute 4k start to the break. An unexpected excursion up top but a shade of luck and balls back. Finding a bit more rhythm and speeding up the Thousands floated by ,with Sniffer scoring running out of fingers. Looking like a big one but a shame a ball drifted on to side cush next shot tap And hold. A couple of shots and balls back to play to bar.
Follow that .Unenviable task for Mick and Twig and so it came to pass. Stacks of goes each it looked a different top. Both players having chances But nobody settling. Eventually Mick cleared the balls late on and a good 2.5.k was enough.
Game 3 Sleezy and Graham and my turn to stop the rot. Graham off early and a good chance for me. Going along ok till i came off on a 100 split. Graham not having any luck i was next to get them back and 3k break gave me a good lead. One last chance late on was enough for the win.
Up fourth Tommo and Steve. Clive first to the table and opened with a very dogged 5.9 k. Balls developed some awkward places and top of the Table battle ensued. Steve Eventually got the balls back and made a very useful break, but with time against him broke down. Clive clearing late On and playing out time for a good win.
Last but not least Paul and Moose. Paul playing confidently opening up with 3k plus. Moose struggling to get them back and plenty of goes each. Paul getting them back again took a good lead till Lee Eventually cleared the table. A lost cause but at least put some points on the board. Bar down Game and match over.
A lovely evening with good friends and a superb break and score from Michael. A real dent for our chances but roll on Christmas and the second Half in the new year.

Thanks John for the complimentary writeup. I must say the Roffey table played superbly last night, but had to treated with respect as it always has the ability to bite you. Must rate as the best table in the League right now.
